  1. Hugh freeze is doing a great job recruiting. What time do we play in the Liberty Bowl? are we favored?
  2. May I say that I do know CHF pretty well and it is genuine. However, I initially was one of the ones disappointed that we decided to go in this direction given his moral failings, which were public, embarrassing and significant. I merely thought that there were other directions in which our University could go to avoid the scrutiny/questions/judgments. However, judgment isn’t for me (or any of us). “Not my pig, not my farm” is the approach I think we should take more often than not. Christian or not, judgment isn’t ours to take. Furthermore, it would be nice to just focus on his performance and move forward. I’m sure that’s what CHF wants too, other than using his personal experience to connect with others, which appears to be quite powerful. The anger from some about his past is unlikely to quell unless the man proves himself to be worthy of trust—something that takes time to develop. I can only guess that it touches a hot spot in some people’s own life and that person must deal with those things. I don’t know. Again, not my place to judge. Final thought: in my experience, all of us have the things that are messy and complicated. I think the best thing we can do is focus on making ourselves a little better each day. Accepting others, asking for help and accepting it when we can and offering it to others when able. Moving towards “better.” In my experience, that endeavor is meaningless and impossible without Christ. But, I’m unlikely to change your mind if you disagree. That is just my experience. All we can really do is accept each other and find the commonalities. Show love in all instances. In this case, we love Auburn. as always, War Eagle. Let’s pull in the same direction and keep this great thing going!
  3. And after watching UCF get demolished by GaTech, I’m also glad ole Gus is somewhere else as well. Same tired offense and meerkat strategy of play calling with a frustratingly inept offensive line and long pass routes.
  4. A few thoughts: 1) for that few that thought Harsin deserved more time. This is the reason why you’re wrong. Besides the off-the-field crap and the on-the-field crap, the recruiting crap after a full year in the system CAN be used as a metric. So glad he’s gone. Which leads us to 2) i can’t believe how quickly CHF turned us around. No, we aren’t world-beaters until we turn some of these recruits into Ws, but it WILL happen. And last 3) it is absolutely going to get better. CHF builds these relationships. Getting into the fold after a year is nowhere near what saban and Kirby et al have been doing. I can’t wait to see what we do now that we’ve been in the central highs, the saralands, the Bufords of the world. Can’t wait.
  5. Welllll he does need to step up the on-field coaching. But yeah. He’s awesome.
  6. Well this frees up quite a bit. Hold on to your hats!
  7. Hey everyone! Thought I’d stop by and offer some perspective from the NIL point of view. Those of us heavy in NIL have been on the phone all morning. I expect that if some of the holdouts don’t pop, that money will be allocated for some others including transfers. So exciting what this staff is doing. Thank you to all Auburn fans that have helped OTV (and with private corporate fund-raising) for these top recruits. war Eagle and let’s keep it going!
  8. Former band nerd here too; Voted. It’s between us and Texas. I THINK the band would appreciate how sold out Auburn went on it. But ya never know.
  9. Oh look at this formation…bet it’s a pick and roll. Oohhh this ones def a ball screen. give me a break. this one reeks of: a) we’ve got bama scared (Williams? Success?) b) political (BP Jewish conservative?) c) sour grapes (Indiana game?, Big10 not the only cheaters) I say we let this one go and just laugh at them. Anybody still read USA Today btw?
  10. Agree. I work closely with some of this and the numbers are usually in the 500-2M range for these top tier qbs.
  11. We were close at the time. I think our standards are a little different this year. But we had a heckuva time with his degree. Now he’s a grad student transfer about wouldn’t be an issue. I don’t think that’s where we are headed tho.
  12. Ward is the best on this list. Word on the street is that he demands a high NIL. The good news for us is that unlike last season’s off-season, we should have already evaluated most of these qbs and have a good sense of who would fit best.
  13. I don’t disagree. It’s a collected failure. Let’s get the talent right and see if coaching improves. Or i dunno do both.
  14. I want us to get the talent here so there can be no more excuses. Dead inside
  15. Me too. This one ended me. Not kidding.
  16. I think the emotions are pretty raw. Devastating loss. This is their Kick-6. Imo totally ok to ask the questions of CHF. He better knock our socks off in recruiting or we can find someone else to go 6-6.
  17. The inability to get off the field in 3rd and long isn’t just a tonight thing. And don’t let me hear talent. We had enough talent to win tonight. And if we had enough to win tonight, we had enough to beat NMSU also.
  18. No. I don’t see how either coordinator can survive the last 2 games.
  19. Or maybe they work hand-in-hand. Dress for the part you want.
  20. The loss yesterday was terrible. I’m not jumping ship and when we look back it may just be a blip in the road. But dang. It’s scary. I hope we end up laughing about this in a couple of years. I’m 7/10 worried. Then again, it’s not like we need to fire the guy. Nothing to do but sit around and wait and see how things go.
