  1. Maybe we can cover? 🤷‍♂️ I’m not panicked, but we need to see a little proof of concept asap. im most disappointed in Peyton’s play, because I thought we’d be a tough out for other teams. Unfortunately, we just don’t seem to have a good idea about what we are doing on O.
  2. Qbs: make good decisions. Be confident. Hit the open receivers. Make the easy plays. Wrs: catch the dang ball. get open. Coaches: prepare better. Make things easier for our passing game. Fans: chill the heck out. It’s a process. We are that low. It’s shocking, but it’s not unexpected.
  3. Ok so this game highlights how far we still have to go. Guys, when I’m telling you the kitchen was empty, it was EMPTY. We have to have a little patience. We are gonna take our licks the next few weeks. I encourage all of us to keep the faith, because this one was so stinky. Bottom line, we knew where we had deficits: QB play, OLine, and WR…and here we are. Let’s keep getting better, try to steal a win or two, and keep paddling. PS…preseason I told you guys 6-6 with a loss to Cal. I still stand by my prediction despite being (kinda) wrong on the Cal game. WDE!
  4. I think Auburn fans have always been realistic, unlike our statesmen to the north. CAN we win? Sure! But we honestly see our trend and the talent disparity on the road and understand that it’s quite the uphill battle. You can hear it in CHF’s voice too. We are probably two or three years removed from where we expect to win games like this. Honestly, I think if any Harsin effect, is that some people were unable to see how far our program had fallen in last 2-3 years with Gus and the 1.5 years with Harsin.
  5. Thanks for asking! we see this injury more often in female athletes, but we are seeing it more now in male athletes secondary to quad issues. It’s painful. Surgical treatment is helpful and is light years beyond what it used to be. After MPFC surgery, about 85% of athletes return to playing, but returning to the same level of play is a little lower maybe 70%. The injury lends itself to patellar dislocations, which is painful but not nearly as big of a deal as other knee injuries. In my clinical experience, athletes end up doing pretty good after PT/Rehab. There’s a procedure called tibial tubercle osteotomy (TTO) and lateral retinacular release that more and more knee-specific orthopedic docs are performing with stabilization surgery that look promising in returning function. bottom line, tough injury but with today’s treatment, very good chance to recover and have little residual loss of function or long term issues in my opinion.
  6. Oh man. Perspective. prayers sent. Hang in there brother.
  7. I understand that we aren’t world-beaters. I guess I’m just still shook that so many of our fam base are writing us off or worse, going to sabotage the recruiting efforts we have going right now. Look, our focus is next year already. We just want to field a competitive team this year. The roster we had would have been boatraced yesterday. can’t believe even my locked on guys are losing their minds over this game. We need to have some patience.
  8. Agree on the 1 QB. I think it doesn’t help us much to roll Robbie in there if he can’t throw. So, I go Thorne and take my chances. That said….work in progress. Looked like our receivers weren’t getting a ton of separation either. Whole offense looked rattled for 3.75 quarters. Definitely many many things to improve upon. Just hoping we don’t jump ship at the first sign of waves.
  9. A very ugly win, but a win none the less. Hopefully we learn from this one. Saw some really good halftime adjustments tho. I thought we would lose this one, so I’ll take the win. Obviously, you see what I’m saying about not being world-beaters this year. But y’all…the team we had on paper before Freeze would have been run out of that stadium. I remember back to 2010 when we won it all, and we had a very ugly win at home against Miss State and a very ugly win at Kentucky. Sometimes I think we get pretty short sided. Also, if we win 37-33 people would probably give us grief about our defense. I dunno. I just think there’s way too much positive with our program right now to do what we usually do and go off the rails. Final thought. Please please please Auburn people, don’t lose your grip on reality. We traveled out to California with a brand new football team and beat a team with a pulse. We are moving in a positive direction in all areas. Let’s celebrate this program and a win! For the love, just keep heading forward! WDE!
  10. All i can figure is some of you guys are borderline personality disorder. Guys, we aren’t gonna win a national championship with this team. Let’s give the team a little Grace and support them for at least a game. they played about as bad as you can on O for a half and are only down 3. Relax! Win or lose, we are heading in the right direction. That roster and coaching staff we had last year is already down 20 in this game. Let’s see how CHF adjusts. Let Thorne settle in. Cal aren’t world beaters but they could beat half our conference so again…relax. wde
  11. I know that he made the trip. Why take him if he isn’t going to play, right? I’ve heard contradicting things regarding this. I know that he’s ready to go.
  12. Also, tea leaves suggest Hunter out 2 games not 1. We will see.
  13. Did a nice job. They have an almost possible assignment from their perspective in the stadium.
  14. This. ^^^^^ so much…So I had to repost.
  15. Oh yeah! We love Hannah! if you’re having a party in Auburn, you gotta have Oh Momma Cookies, Bubbles Party Co Balloons and Decorations, and The Grazer Co for food.
  16. It’s game week in The Loveliest Village on the Plains, and with it comes incredible anticipation. There’s a smell in the air…one of barbecues and a cold drink under the white tents just outside Jordan-Hare. If we take a moment, we can hear the sound of the drums of the Auburn Band on the practice field. We feel the gentle wind against our skin, a promise for cooler weather. Our mind instantly recalls the legends of the past: The Miracle, Punt Bama Punt, the LSU interception game, the Kick Six. The sunset is different— a brilliant orange and blue — which fills the sky like a Rembrandt, reminding us that kickoff is near. The students wearing their orange pants or fall dresses heading to the game with their orange and blue shakers tucked nearly into their back pockets or their boots greets us as we head for a cold cup of Toomer’s Lemonade. And finally, an excitement fills the air…one of a destiny…a sleeping giant has awakened, ready to take names of all those that doubted. Auburn football is marked by the NIP, and alas friends, it is almost here.
  17. MMW: Auburn loses to Cal. With expectations tempered, we hold our own in midseason. We beat Bama, and finish the year 8-5 after a bowl win against a team from Texas. We sign the best recruiting class of all time, and in 2024, we make a run for the Natty.
