  1. I personally never said they felt "threatened" by Bruce. I'm just telling you why those that might want influence over Auburn Basketball now that its a national product aren't going to get it. Some would probably feel threatened by Deion Sanders because Deion Sanders can, at any time, throw up 2 fingers and dip out if people pull the same crap that they did last February with Harsin.
  2. The boosters that love control aren't the only people with money. Other money people would have pulled their donations if Auburn did something as stupid as firing Bruce during the Chuck Persons stuff.
  3. Because our boosters weren't really focused on basketball at the time. Then by the time Bruce turned everything upside down and quite literally saved a program they didn't have the pull in basketball that they've always had in football. As a matter of fact, millions on millions of dollars was going to close the check books if they fired Bruce.
  4. The worst thing to happen to him was being drafted by the Bengals in the mid 2000s. He had that knee injury and was never the same.
  5. You're just flat out wrong on a couple of players. The coaching isn't there. The natural talent is there in some places and lacking in others. Coaching and depth is a big problem though.
  6. I don't know if he meant to say sharted, but I'm happy I just read it!
  7. There's talks that an investigation is going to take place over this. Ain't no way he should have played after last week. Man, I hope he has a full recovery from that.
  8. This is one of the sickest things I've ever seen on this sight. Mods, please DONT lock this down. Let it go and let this be brought to the light. And don't come back saying "relax, it was just a joke." You've posted some stupid crap before, but this is the first time I've seen you post something that screams you have a hard heart. I'll be truly praying for you man, because I don't want anyone going through life full of a spirit of hatred.
  9. I see him as the kind of coach that high school players HOPE comes for a visit. I've said it before but I'll say it again: Deion Sanders is one of a handful of coaches that could walk in to a recruits house with Saban and Kirby and he be the focus.
  10. 1 big problem Auburn has that Alabama USED TO have is that people assume money = influence. The programs that have gotten past this mindset now understand that money = access, not influence. You can be appreciated and even publicly celebrated for your contributions without having overwhelming influence in something you don't know at a high level. I doubt the Neville family is itching to put in their 2 cents on our basketball rotation yet everyone interested in Auburn basketball from now on will know their name and know that they made a massive impact on something they cared about.
  11. Deion is my pick. I understand people not liking his attitude during his playing days (to some extent), but I've been watching how he handles himself, the fans, and his players at Jackson State. He has a way of channeling his ability to sell himself in to selling his program, development, and school. His players love playing for him and respect his opinion of their play. Check out the Grambling game from this year. Went in to half up 21-17 and playing down to their opponent, Prime lit fire in to them, and they came out and outscored Grambling 45-7 in the second half. That is either an attitude adjustment or scheme adjustment. I'm a fan of both. If you want instant eyes on Auburn and the ear of some big time recruits, hire Coach Prime. Whether you like his showmanship or not, the man knows relationships, he knows football, and he knows how to get a fanbase behind him.
  12. This is one of those seasons where I'm glad football no longer determines my attitude and happiness
  13. If you're Auburn and you get this one wrong it's going to make the 2020's tough. NEON Deion has grown on me a lot after seeing how he handled his recruiting, players, fans, and talent. Very few people can walk in a room with Saban and Kriby and be the focus of attention. Sanders is one of those few. Dave Aranda isn't one of those few, but that dude can coach. My immediate recruiting impact is Deion Sanders. Aranda has proven he can coach. I'm not sure LK is an option, but it wouldn't be horrible. Freeze can coach I'd be fine with that. Just PLEASE don't give us a Muschamp, Steele, or Skip Holtz!! 🤣🤣😂😂😅😅🥲🥲😢😢😭😭
  14. A couple of bad things about people buying your recruiting class: 1. Anything viewed as failure is NOT an option after spending that much 2. Someone that commits solely for money has a greater chance of shutting down through adversity. This game might be as important for Jimbo as last year's Alabama game. I love that A&M is stuck with him or an ungodly buyout either way.
  15. I want our crowd to be down right disruptive. I'm talking I want Penn State to struggle to talk during timeouts
  16. The truth is that Gus was a good hire before the substitution rule change. His entire offensive scheme was centered around forcing a mismatch through quick substitutions. Once that was gone it became a preparation, in game adjustment, development, and recruiting job. He came up short too often in a few of those areas. His OL recruiting and coaching choices caused 3 years of bad OL play that eventually lead to his firing. He refused to adapt to the talent of his players and instead wanted plug and play pieces in an offensive scheme that seldom worked without all world performances from certain areas (2017 is a very notable exception). We were mediocre in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2020. I would argue his response to the end of 2020 was the final straw. I have no clue what will happen with Harsin. Right now things need to pickup if he wants to stay here. If they don't he will walk out the same door that Gus left out of. He'll just have to do it knowing the last guy produced every third year and got to stay around 4x longer for it.
  17. I'm embarrassed that my roommate saw me seeing that
  18. 24-20 Auburn. TJ keeps that 11-13 passing going from the second half of last game and it opens up a couple running lanes. We finally get our first TO (sack-fumble) and it seals the game.
