I thought Frazier would probably enter the transfer portal. I hope he stays. With his size and hands he should get more targets. He and Deal are excellent blockers. RF is getting better maybe learning from those guys and Coach Ben.

If PT has a spring and summer to work with our receivers, especially the new ones, I think we'll see a very different Auburn offense.

My biggest concern is if he becomes a 5* down the road does UGA swoop in and steal him to make up for our recent thefts. The Good News for us is with the Auburn commitment the odds of his becoming a 5* are diminished. War Eagle Kail!!

You are so right JWS. If there had been anything close to a hold or block in the back, the kick six would probably have been erased. At the very least UAT would still be whining. I haven't heard any AU friends complain about the no call last week. They just tip their hats and move on. WDE!!

Thorne and the offense put us in position to win. I know many (maybe most of you) don't like him but you have to take what the opposing defense gives you. PT is not trying to put up stats. He and all our players and most of our fans just want to win. RF and JJ (arguably our two best receivers) played well but missed some key passes. Great teams don't have those drops. The effort was there but unfortunately mistakes were there too. WDE!!

I don't blame CHF for not knowing who is in the game. Special teams coach should know who is in the game for a punt return play. Your kick returner and his backup shouldn't have the same number. Freeze shouldn't allow that. To put a backup in the game who may not have played at all prior to the most critical play of the game doesn't seem right.

Doing the math AU should win by 84 points.

If we only offer a PWO until McPherson moves on, I can see that happening. If TM only punts and Kicks off that would be worth a schollie IMO. I worry about our little guy getting hurt on kickoffs a la Carlson who is a big guy. Pound for pound McPherson has the strongest leg I've ever seen so he may be ready to test the NFL waters after'24 season (McGough's redshirt year). He has name recognition and reputation from his older brother. It would be a shame for Auburn High kicker to sign with UAT. Go get him CHF!

I remember CC trending Auburn way before his shocking commit to A&M but was there ever a Cam Coleman CB to AU from someone back then?

Ol play has greatly improved when Lew was finally turned loose. Experience is a good thing, but not a substitute for great talent like CL. We seem to be playing eight to ten offensive linemen which I haven't seen previous coaches do. Keeping them fresh like the DL.

So we have 16 official commitments today, but Z expect AU to add Riley, Edwin, Waller, Laquan, and JUCO Taylor and hold on to the 16? I thought we had a couple shopping, but DCarter has reconfirmed I guess. We could do a lot worse. For some reason I was thinking we might have a couple of surprise flip-ins and a couple of surprise flip-outs but sounds like this is it from the inside at least.

Silent flips worry me if it's in the wrong direction. It might be too late for our staff to put together a backup plan. It seems the Feb NSD is slowly dying. Portal and JUCO are probably the best options.

I totally agree. From my biased viewpoint it looked like Simpson was moving slowly toward the kick returner ready to make the tackle. Vandy guy must have misjudged and had to move up at the last second to field it. Simpson had to step aside to avoid to contact. If he hadn't done that there would have been a collision for sure. I don't know what else our guy could have done. If this is a correct ruling the return man could be coached to just run toward a coverage man and touch the ball. You'll get the ball back plus 15 yards (am I correct?) without any contact whatsoever. Bad call and bad rule IMO. 15 yards is too much for no contact judgement call.

I meant to add that Frazier is listed as a senior on the roster (but seldom used by Harsin). He's been a key member of offense this year. I'm not sure, but I think BF actually has two years of eligibility after this season.

CHF may not have realized how many blocking TE's would be returning or that he wanted to return when he accepted Collins' commitment. I recall Collins dropping from a 4* to a 3* around the time he de-committed from Bama.

Has Collins reopened his recruitment? I remember he decommitted from Bama before we picked him up.

Arkys have a lot more talent than Vandy or NM State. I keep thinking they'll have a breakout game against someone. Just hope it's not us. In preseason many were saying Razorbacks had the best QB in the SEC.

We have overrated our defense because they are playing much better than the offense for the most part. But, realistically they are only an average SEC defense at best, while offense is near the bottom. Defense still making way too many mistakes. Blown coverages, missed tackles or not finishing in critical situations. Partly youth and partly keeping people fresh. Maybe playing a little too loose to prevent big plays from opponents and not making enough big plays ourselves on defense. Assante and Simpson and Scott and maybe a couple more make some plays but we need more to step up. WDE!!!

The biggest problem was the 4th and 1 situations. We had to punt with our lead. Had we been behind or tied we probably roll the dice. We just need to work on 4th and 1 and 3rd and 1 plays too. I still say QB sneak with pushers. 3rd and 1 sneak it or fake a handoff to Hunter and throw to Frazier or Fairweather. I don't think Battie is the back for short yardage. No delay runs from shotgun. What do I know? Nothing of course.

With an anemic pass rush, Will Rogers will pick us apart as usual. For whatever reason I think our tired defense will rise up in the Fourth Quarter to make a big stop. 19-17 Tigers.

It's frustrating to watch other teams where quarterbacks seem to have all the time in the world. If one of our QB's had that kind of protection a yellow flag would drop for sure.
