  1. Great half, kudos to Jaylin for stepping up and making great shots to start run!
  2. Glad he is making sure he gets it fixed now, much rather have him ready in the fall than practice in the spring. Also gives some others a chance to get experience and build depth.
  3. I think Flan broke our early chemistry, it seems like Bruce is trying to will him to regain his old form and it ain't working!! We do have a relatively good 3 point shooter, maybe he could have come in for a few of the Flan minutes just to give us a spark and maybe a 3.
  4. Looked like we settled for SEC regular season champs, didn't look hungry or have winning mentality. We have a size advantage and just didn't abuse them with it, I don't get this game plan at all. Offensive rebounds 23- 11 and we still whiffed. I feel bad for all the AU fans that paid the 3 night minimum to watch them. Hope it motivates somebody on the team !
  5. It would have been super impressive but one day in between and such a huge match on Friday, glad they finished as well as they did.
  6. And by "accept", you mean "beg". I know this will not be a popular opinion but I do not believe anyone should beg JJ to come back , it should be up to him to ask to come back to the team and Harsin should then explain how hard he needs to work to earn back the trust of his fellow players after he abandoned the team and left an already vulnerable position weaker. The only way this team will win next year is with everyone on the same page believing they can accomplish their goals together. All players on this team need to earn their way and be able to trust each other and begging or showing special treatment of a player that jumped ship will not endear him to the others that have stepped up and put in the effort to fill the hole he left. I think that this is a great moment to teach young men to be responsible for actions they take and the consequences they engender. I am very pleased he is staying and hope he will be a great player that lifts his team up with his dedication and abilities on the field.
  7. So sad to see this, one of my favorites and a true Auburn man! RIP " Little Train"
  8. 6-7 wins with noticeable improvement on the field gets another year. Solid quarterback/receiver play might bring us to 8 wins and that would be a great accomplishment and hopefully get everyone on the same page going forward.
  9. I am cautiously optimistic because I feel that team chemistry played a part in the last half of the season as well as insane decisions at times on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. I am hoping that the remaining players pull together through the recent adversity and become stronger as a team. Also a cohesive team that battles until the end will win the close ones and that one thing would have changed the trajectory last season. I also am hoping that we get an offensive coordinator that will challenge our coach and go after good to great players that fit in with our team. So, with that said, at this point I am still optimistic.
  10. So glad Colby is staying. I would hate to be a coach these days because I am sure I would fail. We are quick to blame the head coach but we are expecting these kids to make good decisions when they have the ability to change their circumstance at the drop of the hat. News Flash: 18-23 year males are not always rational and if they have others whispering in their ear or are told no you aren't trying hard enough they can make foolish decisions based on emotion because the transfer portal is so convenient. I also think that NIL can cause jealousy among the players and could cause some that aren't playing enough or seen enough to seek greener pastures(literally). Some are just not going to fit in with the philosophy or with the personalities of the coaches, it happens with every team. I blame video games on everything!😀
  11. As always, with any year of Auburn football, I am cautiously optimistic. I also believe that anyone in any walk of life can learn and adapt to be successful. I think(just my opinion) that he encountered a lack of discipline in certain areas when he arrived and was probably a little too excessive in his correction. I also think that correction was needed and he needs to find that happy medium to effect the change he thinks they have to have to be winners. I wish him the best of luck because some will always be reluctant to change or just not fit in with the program. We have a great bunch of men and leaders on the team and can certainly improve this year with better team chemistry which is the key to success on any team, regardless of stars.
  12. Steve Wallace is a new addition to the offensive analyst position, is there any way he can the liaise with any new offensive line recruit? Surely super bowl rings will impress!😄
  13. Just curious, who would be your pick that could elevate quarterback play, recruit really well , and also help alleviate some of the bad play calls in the previous season?
  14. Excuse me if this is a known thing, but who sets the budget for recruiting?
  15. I believe that I saw that Steve Wallace has been hired as an offensive analyst, he was pretty good too!😉
  16. Did I miss the announcement that Zac Etheridge accepted the Georgia offer?
  17. I support whomever the current Auburn coach is as I have done from the start and believe me there have been much worse situations. I am going to assume that he and the players that supported him and there were many as evidenced on Twitter are going to play with a chip on their shoulders. I believe we have good players on the roster especially on defense and we have 5 quarterbacks, I am also assuming one will step up. There is still a chance we grab some players in the spring that will be needed for next year. As an AU fan I am and have always had to be an extreme optimist, nothing has really changed.😊
  18. I hope we can all agree that whether you are pro-Harsin or against, that the man has to the right to make decisions that are going to benefit him. Of course he didn't talk to the media today, what the hell would he say? I am sure he got multiple texts from his people(lawyers, agents) telling him to just be quiet, so no I don't think that was cowardly, it was a man doing exactly what he needs to do for himself and his family. Just saying....
  19. I have to tell you, I am starting to agree with whichever player said they would want him in a foxhole with them if we were at war because looks like he would fight until the bitter end. Not sure about the football field but he definitely has big brass ones.😁
  20. I know it seems all doom and gloomy but we have players and a few good players on our team. So no we don't have Jason Campbell but we have a 1 in 5 shot at at good quarterback, we have great running backs as well. We cleaned up on defense and after seeing M'ba up close at the BB game, it will be a challenge for anyone that lines up against him. I am more concerned keeping who we have on the roster then who we lost because they have legitimate reasons to transfer.
  21. Uhh... If I had a dollar for every time this has been said since last Thursday, well maybe I could pay the buyout!😄
