  1. I am curious why people are good with Freeze. Are we to dismiss the sanctions levied against Ole Miss with him at the helm? If he is the new coach, at least he is personable that seems to be a prerequisite. Now we can be called Last Chance Coaching U, that might soften the optics. Lightning rarely strikes twice .
  2. Here is my question since so many are ok for firing without cause if that turns out to be the case, what happens with Zac Etheridge, Trovon Reed and Cadillac? Will the new coach have total autonomy to hire his own staff? If so, maybe they are not retained and good Auburn men who have worked harder than most will be let go. There are many consequences to what is happening that is why I can't quite understand this giddiness of some AU people over firing CBH. As a side note on recruiting, I really liked the Eagle call and stare when we got a recruit, hope we keep it.😁
  3. Why are we mad at AG? If we don't like him because he didn't hire KS, I am not that upset, he can stay.😄
  4. Many keep saying they wouldn't do this without cause, does that mean their cause or an actual legal cause because anyone that has been an Auburn fan for a hot minute knows there could be a distinction. I don't think the masses are going to be okay with trust us, we know what we are doing.
  5. There had better be proof if he is gone. Auburn should be careful with not only their national perception but also within the AU family. I as an AU lifelong fan, AU alumnus, AU donor and AU teacher am disgusted with every part of it. If they had cause from the beginning, it should have been over quickly and quietly. What coach with any integrity would come here to be a part of this? I hope I am wrong in my thoughts and that there is justifiable cause and that the method used to handle it was JABA.
  6. Another random question... Who thinks the leaders, Brahms and those linked in his post; Owen Pappoe, Derick Hall, Anders Carlson, JS Shenker and Tank Bigsby should have their say? Also if they don't get a voice at the table what their response might be? And just to clarify, IF Coach Harsin is fired for cause, I support it 100%.
  7. Interesting the first reply has listed anders carlson, owen pappoe, tank bigsby and derick hall among others to let them know, obviously to a part of the meeting. I really cannot imagine that they haven't already been consulted. I would hope that as leaders of the team that their thoughts would be taken into account. And if they are not, do you really want their anger at being ignored ?
  8. Okay, let's say for whatever reason Coach Harsin takes the buyout and who could blame him, how is everyone going to react to Kevin Steele as our new coach IF he is the one brought in immediately? Just hypothetical musing....
  9. Refresh my memory, how many NCAA sanctions against Ole Miss during the Freeze tenure? Failure to go to class, hiring hookers....that will resonate with so many parents of recruits. If you can be fired for being an a**, lots of people should be dusting off their resumes. Just saying😉 If Coach Harsin is fired for a real cause then we can get someone hopefully that hasn't coached at Arkansas State, just to be different and try something new. As much as I hated Deion when he played, he would have the optics to pull us out of this before the next millennium, Freeze would not. The hypocrisy alone...
  10. I am not sure the ones on here that seem to rebut every positive post, realize that we will not get another coach of any substance at Auburn after this that is not named Kevin Steele. Honestly, you expect over 80 players some that do not play to have glowing reviews of the coach? I do not give any credence to any players wearing another uniform now and was not really all that upset with any departures except the dl coach. If Coach Harsin has done anything to be fired then we will know but I just don't think being mean or insensitive is one of them.
  11. obviously that reporter doesn't get many exclusives😀
  12. I am a huge Derrick Hall fan after seeing him at several bb games and talking to him, he seems truly to embody the Auburn spirit, so I will do as he asks and not over react until the facts come in or are presented as such. As much as I am a fan of Derrick however, the one post that intrigues me the most is the one from Moultry, a player that had to earn his way back and was disciplined by Coach Harsin and the NCAA , yet gave credit for his redemption and success to him. If Coach Harsin is giving tough love to change attitudes or behaviors that were previously let go or detrimental to the team, then I got no problem with it as long as the result is to build up the character and discipline in these young men to make them successful on and off the field. Now if any of the allegations are true on the other matter, he should be let go immediately.
  13. I will do as Derrick Hall asks, it is his team and there is no finer embodiment of an Auburn man through and through, if you don't believe me go to an Auburn basketball game and watch him cheer them on and speak with the fans. Sour grapes are just sour grapes. Some personalities just don't jive and that is okay as well, but if you are not a part of the team now then I really don't care what a player from UCF has to say. This is just my humble opinion. If Coach Harsin has done what is being reported then he needs to go, no questions asked, if he is being fired for being a tough football coach with sensitivity issues then we have more problems than just a losing season and recruiting woes.
  14. Not sure how many offensive analysts are needed each season, but did notice 3 new ones on au twitter today. One was very cheeky on his welcome to the plains tweet. I like his humor already!
  15. One of my favorite players.....I will give him a hearty welcome back and not judge him until we actually see the product on the field and what he does when he gets on the recruiting trail. I am sure he has more incentive to succeed than people without Auburn ties.
  16. Great news! Experience will be huge next season.
  17. I almost commented on this yesterday when news broke about our new quarterback. As a former college athlete albeit many years ago before social media and also a parent of a recruited college athlete, the vitriol aimed at these young men is ridiculous. These students sacrifice so much time into preparing and practicing whether they play or not. No one purposely plays horribly. Most are giving their maximum effort. Just think before posting if it were your child you were criticizing! It is the job of the coaches to evaluate each player and to assess their abilities and if they fall short in their endeavors they are paid a lot of money for it and are fair game to open criticism, the kids are not in my opinion. I saw a headline on google news this morning that AU fans upset with Calzada commitment. We as Auburn fans can do better!
  18. It wasn't long ago that we were playing a quarterback with a broken ankle and then another with a sprained ankle with no relief or back-up in sight. This is a win/win, if he develops into a great quarterback for us, yeah! , or if he comes in as an experienced back-up yeah again! Welcome !!
  19. Hopefully this is one of those losses that brings on changes to the defensive philosophy and maybe a little to the offensive philosophy as well. The coaches were spanked today. Mike Leach showed exactly what happens when a really good quarterback has time and good play calls. Auburn dbs are not aggressive until the ball is caught, not sure what will change that approach. We are a good team when the going is good, just lack maturity when the tables turn.
  20. It is in their heads now, both the quarterback and the receivers have lost confidence. I am no Bo apologist but at some point the receivers have to step up. Not every ball has to be thrown perfectly or in stride or with a soft touch to be caught and a few drops for whatever reason are going to happen. I truly hope they can turn it around and play at a higher level but it will take mental toughness to overcome this level of ineptitude. So it is now up to the player to believe they can do it and the coaches to make them believe it because all the jugs drills in the world won't help if you lack confidence in yourself or your teammate.
  21. I would hope both get equal reps in practice and it comes down to who was the most effective running the offense. I think Bo has the experience but TJ sees the field better. They both know what is on the line so probably for the first time ever, Bo is fighting for his job and TJ knows it is up for grabs, may the best man win. I will support either as I know that they fought hard for the opportunity.
  22. Not 1 player has anything to be sorry about in this game, they left it all on the field. Our coaches are paid a lot of money to make those calls and that 4th down call was just insane. The first half defensive strategy was equally poor. I am proud of how the players fought but very disappointed in the play calling on offense and defense. If anything cost us the game it was the coaches.
