  1. Harsin said he has been fighting the me vs we issue, this is a perfect example. NEVER, EVER in a team sport is this okay.
  2. In three games we have had little to none in adjustments during games. I really don't see that changing. If we didn't try and change things on Saturday when we had massive issues , I am not holding out any hope for this Saturday especially if we are perceived to be the better team. Hopefully , it does change and we try and put the ball in our playmaker's hands. I don't understand how we are so incredibly basic with our play calling. I would find our best ten plays based on the belief that I was always only going to have less than 3 seconds to execute and go from there.
  3. We do not have the horses to race some of these teams and until we get them at every position it doesn't matter who is on the sidelines. That is what was evident today, no scheme was going to do it, we got whuppped. We need Calzada or Holden in to give some hope to the QB position. Our current guys, too scared and too hesitant. This whole group of players have underwhelmed for more than 2 seasons so maybe we just need to win the ones we can and hopefully get some players in for the future. I will be cheering them on as I have through every season good or bad because I am an AU fan, win or lose!
  4. The only thing that has me worried with this team is the wide open middle because it was wide open in both games. We are going to have bad games where we look inept, it happens and it has happened across many coaching staffs at Auburn, so nothing new here. They probably shouldn't have watched any football yesterday, it set the tone. We made adjustments and they worked for the most part in the 2nd half with the exception of the middle being wide open. Also , has Derrick Hall always dropped back into coverage? I think we step up next week to play a much better game overall, whether it will be enough, not sure but I think we bounce back with gusto, seems history is on my side as well.
  5. Bet we look much improved next week, and I didn't see much better across the college landscape today. Just a weird day, that is what makes college football great! These kids were flat and played uninspired, it happens and then panic sets in and then mistakes. They calmed down and played much better the 2nd half. I believe they will be up for Penn State. Either way I will be here cheering them on.
  6. Okay here's hoping just classic not amped to play looking towards penn state next week and will get it together for the second half.
  7. defense flat footed , watching the ball arrive to receiver then reacting
  8. Tackling seems to be an issue with the Ducks
  9. What a great team player and a very articulate young man! I see a coaching job in his future.
  10. Wow, might be the first time I have actually agreed with Finebaum!
  11. Well, that is good news, looks promising! I realize that this might be unpopular but I am great with getting a 2024 QB committed, if there is one position on this team that has an abundance of players for this season then our crowded qb room is it. We have much more urgent needs. Recruits today are more like businessmen and are after a lot more than a special place to play. It is a new era in recruitment and in commitment, so any small victories for our team should be celebrated. This staff has recently evaluated and gone after very talented players and that is really all you can ask them to do. It is not an excuse to say that February was detrimental to recruiting, it is a fact. So if we can flip a few that were really interested in Auburn to begin with then maybe we are getting players that love Auburn as a special school also, so win/win!
  12. Not advocating for him to start but he certainly looked pretty good today. Would have been nice to see him against the #1 defense. I saw nothing different from #1. If he is the future QB that is not such a bad thing.😎
  13. #12 best passer, would not rule him out
  14. Not sure light is going to completely come on for Finley. RA looks pretty good, being versatile is always good to me. Receivers catching the ball is refreshing, Capers made a couple of hard catches look easy. I think defense is going to be fine, they are limited today and probably told not to do anything too strenuous.
  15. Maybe, but I didn't say it was 100% the only reason for the downward trajectory last season but perhaps one of the reasons that it happened and a logical one. There have been so many articles on how they are on the same page now and how great the coaches are doing as a whole to implement the system that I just extrapolated that maybe it was a factor last season. Also, every opinion I have is merely conjecture as I have zero inside sources. Hopefully we now have an united locker room and can build from there.
  16. I believe that one of the major issues last season had to do with cohesion in the locker room and within the coaching staff. It is hard to win games without everyone pulling in the same direction. Division will always lead to some degree of failure. Glad to see that for the most part everyone is heading in the same direction now. One bad apple.....
  17. Those db's look like they can catch!🤔
  18. Hope he finds the perfect fit for his talents.
