  1. That incompetent defensive scheming kept you in a game against a far superior foe, and bloody near won the game for you.
  2. VERY fair Still, on the field, he didn't One doesn't negate the other. Harsin was pathetic, but what I said is still the truth.
  3. I am not trying to say anything nice about Harsin. Kinda floored you thought that.
  4. You really want to equate that game with this ass whipping? Really? I am not a Harsin fan, but today will go down as the worst defeat in the history of the program. Under Hugh. And at least that Auburn team played a half. This one had it's ass kicked from the get go.
  5. Offensive competency. Line up correctly, stop the procedure calls. A receiver who was worth a crap might be nice. Coaches who are not afraid.
  6. I appreciate what you're saying here Swamp, I really do. Buuuut... NIL has made them Pros, and as far as I am concerned, they're fair game. They get paid to play. Just like the guys here in DC or Baltimore. The game has changed.
  7. You're right Fifty!! I forgot where I was! Auburn is Jesus's people. Special. Perfect Everywhere else is just doing everything they can to get to the bowels of Hell a day early. Sorry for forgetting my place. Carry on!
  8. Actually, they are routine at Auburn, especially during athletic events. And there are other issues, just like any other town/city or school. Sorry to burst your Utopian bubble there.
  9. I have friends on the Auburn faculty, and I have been told some great stories. Try feces in the Library stacks after a home ball game. Try the fella who came in and used your library computers and watched an hour of porn and left leaving it on the screen. That's just a couple. I have a few more. And a host from uat. People are people. Unfortunately, portions of the country haven't figured that out as of 2023...
  10. Jesus Tech isn't in the same universe as Sanford, under any metric. But I bet they really appreciate the thought...:)
  11. That sounds like that Baptist preacher I had to listen to this weekend! Broke his heart when I proved to him that the Rapture is unscriptural.
  12. I really appreciate your post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Different regions look at college football very differently. Here in the Mid Atlantic, it's not as big as basketball, and we have pro teams that change the dynamic. That goes all the way up to Boston, and it definitely has an effect on California. I can guarantee, after two years in San Francisco, Cal, Stanford, San Jose St... their college football isn't that big a deal to them as it is to Alabamians. They have the 49ers, the Rams, and the Chargers. Unlike these areas, Alabama didn't have a Pro presence. Trust me, here in Virginia, more people care about the Cowboys, Ravens, and yes, the Commanders. I know, Cowboys... I've got to tell you, after experiencing tailgates at both Auburn and uat, it pales in comparison to the tailgate for The Game, Yale vs Hahvahd. Not in the same universe. I always got to meet amazing people, eat some amazing food, and drink some amazing liquor. And that the students left to party more at the half, and barely get back for the fourth quarter was something to behold. Just a couple of observations Alabama boy moved north.
  13. Honestly, this is Three Stooges-esque I have never seen a program soil itself in games like this as Auburn does routinely
  14. What in the world are Monty and Freeze doing on offense? This is about to get ugly
  15. Not too impressed with Ole Miss...nor Tulane for that matter...
  16. Honestly, American football could learn a HUGE lesson from Euro Football. Let the game play without commercials until the end of quarters. You have enough time to get your commercials in between quarters AND at halftime. And let the game play.
  17. That sounds amazing! My Father in Law introduced me to Mayo on my burgers. Was a revelation for me. Honestly, my wife gets a wee irritated with me when I want a burger, and not want to go outside and grill it myself. I head off to Burger King and get a Whopper. Nice and messy, and tastes great. Don't bring no McDonalds in here.
