  1. So, if you had not made "a lot more money running global businesses for 30 years", you would have been the AD at Auburn? Your words, not mine. I'm calling BS on that and maybe your entire self aggrandizing statement. WDE
  2. Agreed: Kind of in the Kyle Pitts mold. WDE
  3. I'm just glad to see the recruiting board is back on line. lol WDE
  4. This is a reasonable defensive objective regardless of the type of offense we run. WDE
  5. I sure hope it works out. I need the rest. WDE
  6. Just curious: Do any of the recruiting experts out there know anything about BJ as a recruiter while he was coaching in the SEC? WDE
  7. Here's where I am with all the guesses from the message boards and talking heads: "Mommy, mommy, I tired of running around in circles". "Shutup or I'll nail the other foot down". WDE
  8. Nobody said he had to check "all" the boxes. lol WDE
  9. The main point here is Ole Miss was forced into a 'put up' or 'shut up' situation. They would not have collected that $10 million NIL fund without a somewhat veiled threat from Kiffin. Make of that what you will but OM supporters are not going to bend over backwards without being pushed. Not sure if the motive makes any difference to LK or not. JMO WDE
  10. Might make for interesting read on their message board. WDE
  11. 02 Iron Bowl: We won - They lost: No matter how many times they have beat us before/after that day, nothing changes that 'Fact' and they still cannot to accept it. WDE
  12. Thanks Mikey. As a side note: Do you or anyone else know the scholarship ramifications of a player from a 4 year scholarship institution that 'enters' and then 'withdraws' from the transfer portal? TIA WDE
  13. Just asking. I thought AU went to 4 year scholarship status. Could very well be wrong. If AU is 4 year scholarship, how would returning to AU affect a player's status after entering the portal? WDE
  14. The old 'Cart before the horse' thingy. Damn we are good at that aren't we. WDE
  15. I like this new administration and the direction they appear to be headed. However, Cohen may have to settle for who he can ultimately get as opposed to who he really wanted. Regardless, our new coach will be presented as the coach he was really after. Be that true or not, I will support Cohen, the new coach and especially the team. Always Have. Always Will. WDE w
  16. Being a former player at a particular school and then becoming the head coach at that schools #1 rival in the SEC is not unheard of. Please consider Vince Dooley @ Georgia and Pat Dye at Auburn. I don't think this is going to be the case here but it has happened. WDE
  17. With regards to OL play: I will throw a little love out to Kendall Simmons. He is the coach down on the sideline with those guys during the game. WDE
  18. Overall talent is necessary. Classes with a lot of top ranked talent isolated to 1 or 2 positions will not win you many games. JMO WDE
  19. The uncertainty of the future of the Pac 12 conference could come into play here. JMO WDE
  20. Need help in understanding coach searches: Usually the search is kept close to the vest with little info forthcoming from the searching party. Is this primarily to protect the people being contacted or to avoid the "egg on the face" when rejected? Maybe both? Sure does lead to a lot of speculation and opion battles among fans and pundits alike. Maybe certain factions like all the attention it generates. WDE
  21. Would contract offers be different based on the coach offered? 1) Longer duration @ lower yearly average. 2) Fewer years @ slightly higher average salary. WDE
  22. Wouldn't change anything in my life. I would still get the same allowance I currently get. WDE
  23. The running back rotation might be interesting to watch this weekend. WDE
  24. Ii could get used to seeing that number. WDE
