If a program like FSU is leaving/looking to leave said conference, I don’t know that anyone could convince a Norte Dame to join. I don’t disagree with your points. But the idiotic idea of us relegating ourselves to the ACC when we’ve been 1 of 5 programs to eat at the big boy’s table in the SEC this century is ludicrous. Maybe some like Miss State, maybe South Carolina, but not Auburn.

Bro, I read the original article from Fly War Eagle the other day, and almost posted it here, but I thought it was the biggest, steamiest pile of crap I ever read it wasn’t worth it wasting my time. I’m not saying anything negative towards you, I just couldn’t actually believe someone who cares or claims to care (i.e. the author) about Auburn and Auburn football would even consider such a ridiculous statement. The only teams to have played for a national title in the SEC this century are Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and LSU. We’re an SEC founding member, and even the thought of leaving the SEC is the most asinine, unthinkable, absurd thing I’ve ever heard. Not only that, but the ACC is crumbling before our eyes. Dabo and Clemson is evaporating and FSU wants out ASAP. I bet they regret not joining the SEC now. We’ve been down the past few years, but it was only a few years ago we beat back-to-back #1 teams with Gustav. We’re now poaching recruits from Bama and UGA. No way in h3!! that Auburn leaves the SEC for the ACC.

I'm still convinced there's some sort of Axis of Evil including Bama, UGA, and LSU that's paying O-linemen to go anywhere but Auburn...it's the only thing that makes sense to me.

I don’t believe players can transfer any more (1x transfer rule) until they graduate or under other specific circumstances, like health of a family member or something like that.

Yeah Simpson and Buchner both looked like flaming hot trash against USF. And it looked like neither had what it took to be competitive while Milroe was still learning the ropes. If they struggled that bad under Saban with luxury of their program, coaches, all the skill players, and high-rated players that Bama has, then chances are they won’t be successful anywhere until they go somewhere where the competition level is considerably lower.

LOL! Dabo blaming fans for his team’s awful performance. What it really boils down to is Dabo thinking he and Clemson are better than to “go so low” as to utilize NIL and portal. I think Dabo just brought Clemsoning back. The fact that he got so butthurt about a kid’s legit question is beyond absurd. The funny thing to is none of the past accomplishments really matter when your team is now struggling to be at .500 or get to a bowl game. Imagine trying to justify yourself, your education, your college football experience, your marriage, your kids, your life to a kid the way Dabo did from 3:52 on in this video…yuck

Hard disagree. Any undefeated SEC championship team today is an automatic top-2 team. Not only that, the playoff exists today and they’d for sure be one of four playoff teams.

Until it was uncovered they were funneling all the $$$ to Reggie, but yeah during the season they stayed at the top. That would never happen to an SEC team today. That natl title game was the 2nd-most boring game ever, just behind the UGA-TCU beat down we just witnessed

What’s hilarious is that bammers had at least 2 wins they narrowly escaped with a W on the final play too (TA&M and OM)…so by that logic they were pretty much anywhere from an 8-4 to a 10-2 team. Definitely not worthy of a playoff spot.
