  1. Haha I just find it funny on every Auburn message board that nobody can spell his name correctly. Maybe Peayton Thorn or Holdon Gurner will play better in the next few games so we don’t have to hear about the Robbie package.
  2. Robby with a Y not sure why people can’t spell his name correctly ..and people are saying he needs to throw the ball. Did you watch him throw the ball last night? When he does, it is a disaster waiting to happen. Put him at WR. It is obvious we need playmakers at other positions and he is an elite athlete - just Not a qb. . Maybe he can get open. Reminds me of all of the people that said Gatewood should play QB. He is finally at the right position after five years and 3 teams - TE. Please coach let Thorne and or Holden play QB. And don’t sub them out every other series. Dumb dumb dumb.
  3. Thorne was a huge disappointment, but when was the interception? I am going off of a little sleep, so I don’t remember. Haha I thought we had four fumbles. I do remember Robby throwing into quadruple coverage.
  4. Of course it did, but so did our 4 fumbles.
  5. You are the man. Wow.
  6. True, but Colorado now has an elite QB and that changes everything. We have seen that first hand here over the years. You take average talent and add an elite qb -you win.
  7. I’ve seen several people post that we should beat Cal because we are more talented. Maybe… but if you look closely: Our OL is made up of transfers from Tulsa and other non-P5 schools or Juco. WR- Hooks from Fcs, Shorter from north Texas. Fairweather from a non P5 school. Our QB is a former 3 star from MSU. Our RB room- stacked with talent. Our defensive backfield is super talented (no doubt haha). Up front I think we are starting guys from Uab, Purdue, Vandy, and a freshman. At LB we are starting a north Texas guy and possibly a UNC guy. I have no idea what is on their roster, but ours is still TBD.
  8. We are. Hugh has multi year job on his hands to fix us. So far his recruiting seems to be working. ..just need 3 more classes like this one, and a lot of OL and DL.
  9. All good questions. And if he did join the team, would they just make him the starter over who is already playing?
  10. Teams that have embraced it are finding immediate success in many cases. - quarterback went to Notre Dame is dominating - wr that went to Florida state is dominating - Colorado - the entire team - of course the Heisman winner at USC, and every other QB in the Pac whatever- they are all transfers are all killing it - Auburn went from death penalty awful, especially on the OL, to having a chance to maybe make a bowl - countless others including our first 2 opponents UMass and Cal are simply better now than they were last year. …basically, you cannot judge a team on what they did last year. You don’t even know who will be on the team to start the season. It’s a new world.
  11. Keys really really struggled. They had to sub him out.
  12. Well, they played without him last week, and looked great
  13. I agree with this 100%. It really makes the preseason poll pointless.
  14. I don’t think we are very good… yet. We may be later in the season. We will see. 40 new players and many of them starters. Like Freeze said yesterday, we did not even line up correctly on 13 plays. I want to see how we do against a completely rebuilt Cal team on the road. Auburn has never won in California. It is a tall task even against a mediocre (or maybe decent) P5 team. We win Saturday, people will notice.
  15. I just want to win football games. All of the off field stuff only matters if we are not winning.
  16. I think this weekend showed how the portal has changed football. I think Colorado is good. They threw for 400 + yards. Travis Hunter may be an all American. Florida State’s best player is a Transfer wide receiver from Michigan State… and he is legit. Clemson will be fine but only if they stop turning the ball over. Same for LSU. Both teams had opportunities inside the 10 yard line a few times and could not score. I don’t think Clemson punted in the second half and did not score a point. Baylor misses their defensive coordinator. Again: Just about every team that went heavy to the portal improved significantly.
  17. Different team. UMass beat New Mexico State.
  18. I generally did not listen to any of these in the past because they were so boring. You have to hand it to freeze, there is no coach speak. that might be the first press conference in 12 years I enjoyed
  19. They offered and were after him but he was not interested. His offer list might be the best I have seen in a long time, especially for an OL that committed to AU. makes me smile.
