I feel like our identity is simple- run the ball right at teams until they can stop us. Our OL is pretty good. Thorne and WRs still need to work on timing. He’s only been practicing for 5 weeks with these guys. He looked fine to me. Defense is a big concern - especially the linebackers. I wish I could see the stats on who played, and how many plays.

Agreed. As soon as they get their timing down, they should be pretty good on offense. The o line is awesome. I am worried about the defensive front 7.

I like the south Alabama at Tulane game and the West Virginia at Penn State game. Those might be interesting. A few of these teams with first year transfer quarterbacks look pretty bad, other than Notre Dame. Nebraska’s transfer quarterback last night really struggled.

I thought they looked slow, undisciplined, and lethargic. That might be the worst Florida team I have seen in a while. They ran for 17 yards. Their offensive line looks horrendous. The QB had no time to throw… And they just don’t look like they have any playmakers. Yes, people want to talk about Utah and how good they are, and yes I do believe they are good, but not last night. The broadcast said they were missing eight starters. I know early in the game both of Their top defensive players went out. I thought Utah looked mediocre and FL still lost by double digits.

I don’t think anybody is worried about UMass. I just think it shows how college football has changed. Umass was unbelievably terrible last year. So so bad. Based on that, People picked them to be the worst team in the country this year. What people failed to realize is that they have 27 new transfers. They are not the same team at all. They are better. And I hope Auburn shows the world the same thing. Everyone is voting us down even though we have 40 new transfers. You really don’t know what you are going to see with all of these transfers. New world.

Transfers have changed college football. Umass is completely different team and their QB looks good. Their transfer Wr looks good. Glad they played this week so we have tape. Of course we also have a completely different team. Glad Harsin is not here or I would be worried.

Let me say this… he showed a lot of moxy at the end of the game and helped guide them to OT. That is what the coaches are looking for… just needs help with accuracy.

Yep. No sugar coating this - he looks awful. At one point he was 2/13. Recently was 5/17 and his passes looked like wounded ducks (even the completions). He has also fumbled the ball twice. He needs a TON of work. Hugh can develop him but he is a huge work in progress.

The way I look at this is that we have truly missed on 3 players. There are 2 that gave us their silent commits but then changed their minds at the last moment - House and K Franklin. The other was Cam Coleman, and NOBODY saw that one coming. What is crazy is many of these players are picking teams that were not even in their top 2-3 the week of their commitment. Tam and Om were both running 4th… and then Bam. Bolden we just were too late to the game and Patterson has always been leaning to UM or UM… so losing them is not really losing them. again, all of this is my opinion only.

JJ commitment was great. DC hopefully will choose AU. good stuff!!
