2014 3* QB Kendrick Doss (Ole Miss signee)

Hometown boy! Congrats to Kendrick. He is a baller. I hope that he can help continue opening up NW Alabama more to AU. Thought we had a shot with Dee, but the Tahd army is deep around here (most of which cant spell Bama or show you Tuscaloosa on a map) and his HS coach is a dyed in the wool Bammer. I am interested in seeing how this offer plays out.

I watched the first 4:30 of the film. He is a strong kid. He has a great stiff arm. He is a good runner and looks fast. He tends to throw off his back foot. Early in the videos, it looked like he was just kind of aiming and pushing the throws, but as I saw more film on him, he has a very strong arm too, and can put some power behind his throws. I am impressed.

His HS coach isn't a bammer. He grew up a bammer, but played and graduated from Troy. His wife's family is all Auburn. Mother-in-law got her masters at Auburn, Father-in-law was a dean at Auburn, and his wife graduated from Auburn, and was a former cheerleader there. He has season tickets to Auburn games.

The video is sequenced with the season so he got better as the season went on. That's good because he has another season to get even better.

They will come after him now for sure because the rec runs the shoals area, if I was on that staff I wouldn't waste my time recruiting guys n this area unless they had a strong willed father figure or father n the home that's not gonna fall for their bs. Not degrading single parent homes at all because I came from one myself, it's just that this is what the rec preys upon.

Good looking video. Seems to be a good runner. Also seems pretty accurate but has a very different throwing motion. If he'd take the next 6-8 months seeing a qb specialist for instructions he could really make and exciting qb.

Latest 247 article seems to imply (I'm not a subscriber btw) we might be in the lead for Kendrick. And he may be our top QB target? Either way, he has an offer and seems to be very interested. I don't know much about him, since I don't live in the area. But it looks like his stock is starting to climb fast! I'm personally hoping we can get him on board soon.

I played high school ball with Colis Campbell at Coffee when the Shoals was solid Bear Bryant Crimson, but new coach Dye pulled Colis in and he had what I think is still the second most total yards by an AU running back ever (against FSU in I think it was '85). Sometimes the tusca-trash bs rhetoric backfires. Go J.B. go!

There have been others we should not forget - Phil Gargis, Carlos Cheatom, the Sears brothers, Jeff McCollum, Joe Hollis (baseball), Bill Alexander (basketball), Whitney Boddie (basketball), just to name a few.

True , but it also wasn't nearly this bad back then. Because these days bama obsession is ridiculous!!!!!

That is only because we didn't exactly foster any fear in them back then. Seems like the lunatic fringe has been embraced so as to distract/intimidate us. NO-ONE wants to compete with a bunch of crazies! They might start killing plants and teabagging people. Then calling radio shows to confess and posting pics on social media.... Best leave them be!!! Things might get ugly then... :-\

U know, I've actually heard that things like that did take place!

I'm just happy to see that the top athletes from florence are actually starting to stay in Florence. Coaches have been so bad in the past that you had to leave to get recruited seriously. Especially in basketball

Those highlights are from when he was a 9th grader.

Wh-Wh-Wh-What?!? No, really that means I should take another look at him probably. (And that I need to pay better attention to dates on these highlight vids!)
