A game continuing to stick in my craw took place in '81 against i believe a 14th ranked Miss State team. A struggling Auburn team lead for 58 minutes and had the ball on 4th down on about State's 35 yard line. An illegal snap attempt to pull State offsides backfired. Two John Bond passes later Auburn has lost the game. There are still size 10 impressions in the ground outside J-H from where I stomped back to the frat house. If only we had punted on 4th down.

Of course he has a good point...but it's the offseason....so we're struggling here...

I suppose it's no worse than obsessing over the latest Jr. College transfer as savior. :big:;)
