GatorCountry.com reporting on their front page that Meyer has agreed in principle to go to Florida.

In the article though, UF's AD says he hasn't talked to him and so forth.....seems fishy but the site does have some darn good inside information people

I've also heard that but find it hard to believe. First off, I don't believe Meyer would let it get out before the end of the season. Secondly, it just happened too suddenly. Nothing is happening and then suddenly, the news breaks. Third, UF would have had to have permission to talk to Meyer, and then that ties no1 and no2 back together.

It may be, but sounds "rumorish" to me.

To add, on some other board I've been reading lately, UGA, LSU, cant remember which one, they had a radio station reporting that Holtz had decided to retire at the end of this season, and Spurrier was a done deal. That one turned out to be wrong, also.

I'm just glad they aren't talking about Petrino anymore. His offensive mind scares me. Wouldn't want to have it in the same conference with us.

On sst tonight they said petrino and meyer are most definitely big time candidates.

Petrino will be the coach, just wait & see. No doubt in my mind.

There's no way Louisville can match the salary FL will pay him.

Petrino is also rumored to be a top candidate at Ole Miss.

UF has to bring in not only a good coach but a big name, and that is Meyer. Besides, Meyer looks good in a visor and that's all that really matters to the Gator fans.

Heard that Zook talked to Ole Miss on the phone and that they wanted to pursue further talks with him as they were impressed.
