AUFAN78 3,926
Rob, all this is great news, but tell the whole story tho. There are 11M Americans that have given up looking for work. Our workforce, in totality, is smaller now than in 2008. Saying that unemployment is actually "down" is to forget about or dismiss that there are Millions of people that have been unemployed so long that they are slipping through the statistics. Make no mistake, we are improving, but we have a very very long way to go till we get back to full employment. We are just now starting to see job growth that is substantially above the number entering the workforce. Let's not forget the millions working one or more part time jobs in an attempt to pay the bills. But I agree, the numbers are promising. My 401k, retirement fund, mutual fund, etc. seem to like them.
