These are the same people that thought Oklahoma was the 2nd best (if not the best) team in the nation for 18 WEEKS! Yea - those guys sure know what they're talking about... I can appreciate and understand the "**** the polls" sentiment, but we all know we would have liked one of those polls to recognize that Auburn was deserving. auee90 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Share Posted January 7, 2005 I was actually pleased with our preseason ranking. After going 8-5 the previous season, and losing Dansby, D. Thomas, etc., I was not complaining about where we started. That year, there were no undefeated teams in the end. Oklahoma had their chance, but choked in their last two games.
