Auburn to compete in NBC's 'College Bowl' Tuesday night

Three Auburn students will be competing for scholarship money Tuesday night on NBC’s newly rebooted "College Bowl," a quiz show hosted by football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. The show will air at 9 p.m. on NBC. If you’re in Auburn, the local NBC affiliate is Montgomery-operated WSFA.

"College Bowl" is a trivia competition show covering a wide variety of subjects in which teams of three students from various colleges and universities compete against each other to answer as many questions as possible. Eleanor Covington, Ada Ruth Huntley and Aahil Makhani will represent Auburn in the series.

With 12 schools represented, the show will work through four rounds to determine the winning team, which will take home the largest chunk of the $1 million in scholarships Capital One will be awarding.

Students from the following schools will be competing in the series: University of Alabama, Auburn University, Columbia University, University of Michigan, the University of Minnesota, Ole Miss, Morehouse College, University of Tennessee, University of Southern California, UCLA, University of Virginia and Xavier University of Louisiana.

Recorded this and watched it after I got home. Question, do they not teach Roman numerals any longer? How could three college students miss what C means? We answer that correctly and we would have beaten Bama. All in all the Auburn team was impressive but Michigan killed it.

Curious how the 3 team members were selected??? Was there a 'tryout' for the team??

Probably an application/vetting process. Not to give more information than one should about someone not themselves, but the guy is a pretty experienced trivia expert, did it competitively before. The other two, not sure their background as it relates to that
