B'ham>>>>Shreveport?

IMHO....As far as cities go, unless casinos are your thing, definitely Bham > Shreveport

I'm sure the teams will visit Children's Hospital

Came here to say this. Good call on the Civil Rights Museum.

Probably just a much more chill vibe all around, especially with less media and less pressure. Might be kinda nice.

Of course I wish we had a better bowl, but this one should be fun. Nice new stadium, good opponent, extra practice, will be easy for a lot of players families to attend, and easy for our fans to attend.

Ready to beat our 3rd top 20 opponent.

There are plenty of slot machines at the bham race course ,also live betting on horse racing from around the country the only thing missing are the table games..

Man I hope that we can win this thing to put this trophy next to the Music City and Birmingham Bowl trophies our last staff scored. #hardware…

Kinda off topic...sorry.

I plan on taking my son to his first AU game for the bowl game.

Will AU be home or away?...and what section should I look for tickets?

I don't want his first experience to be in the middle of the opposing team's fans...lol.

In modern day college football, pretty much every team not in the playoff and New Years Six bowls are disappointed in their destination.

Unfortunately I believe that malaise has spread to viewers

ESPN has just simply invalidated bowl season with their coverage

Just saw a tweet about Nick Brahms being out for the bowl game due to surgery.

Hate it for Nick. Hope he's better soon. Good opportunity for someone to step up and earn some playing time for next year.

I think there’s going to be quite a few players opt out of the bowl game.  McCreary being the most notable so far.

True for every team every year now. The bowls have been significantly downgraded in importance the past few years.

Despite the griping on the site, we all love Auburn and the players who wear the uniform.   Ticket prices for the Birmingham Bowl are very reasonable -- $30.   Let's show our support for our team and sell out Protective Stadium, which, if you haven't seen it already, is really nice.    For families, the stadium is located immediately next to Top Golf.  The Alabama Sports HOF Museum is one block over.   If you care about racing, Barber Motorsports Museum is second to none.   Bucee's and Bass Pro are .25 miles from the museum and track.   If you care about history, the Civil Rights Museum is 2 miles from the stadium.   The McWane Science Center is a must for families with kids 5-15.   It too is close to the stadium.   Buy a ticket, support our kids or just keep bitc_ing Brandon.

I had no idea that all of that stuff was all so centrally located in and adjacent to downtown. (Except McWane Center- crazy to think that's among the oldest of the bunch. Go Birmingham!)

Um, yeah. Cheap tickets, no airfare, park the car and don't get back in it for the weekend, have some good meals, drink some good beers... seems kinda dope IYAM.

Loof to be clear, the track /museum is about 10-15 miles away.   But if you are into racing at all, it is worth the time.   All the rest is walking distance for average folks.

Yep. That sentence just happened to be in the middle of the rest, lol. Still very impressive what Birmingham has done with the downtown revitalization, as well is in many of the other districts on that side of the mountain. It really is a neat town to visit with lots of charm, preserved older buildings, walkable neighborhoods and great cultural offerings. I know a lot of our fanbase is already very well acquainted with the city, though.

I'm familiar with Snake Stabler running 50+ yards in the mud for a TD in 1967 at Legion Field. lol WDE

So Auburn hasn't beaten a ranked team in a bowl since Oregon, huh? Just heard that on the Auburn Undercover podcast.

It's a new day & CBH is ready to turn things around.  Beating the stuffing out of Houston in this bowl will be important in finishing off the season in a positive way.

And the SEC refs sucked even worse back then.   Gusty Yearout was tackled on the play but no holding call.   Some things never change.

Hmmm...I do need some cheap DEF and some Black Hills Honey Badger ammo....might be worth the drive from the panhandle.

There is a Hampton Inn right across from the track.   You can walk to Bass Pro and Bucee's.   Come on up!

I wonder what’s the last time we won as a dog. If not Memphis, then I couldn’t even imagine
