That's not the biggest problem really. But I will say this....no one else besides bammer was doing it to the extent that Ole Miss was, and going after the same players as bammer and winning too many recruits that bammer wanted was bound to piss ol nickatator off. He sent his buddy Emmert in to fix things . 

The biggest problem is who he had on speed dial on a phone paid for by Ole Miss. The sleeziness and hypocrisy of his actions, and the damage to Ole Miss that could've come out of his many indiscretions is a very serious issue. Freeze was reckless and apparently he still can't control himself.  I hope Auburn passes on Freeze because he is a very big risk.

Nope. If he did it just because the other guy did it than that makes it worse. Is that why Nutt sued for defamation?

And also - you’ve got some stuff seriously mixed up. The escort service was for HIM, not kids he was recruiting. That doesn’t exactly make it “better”. But it’s a whole different moral implication. It’s not Louisville basketball.

I really believe Coach Danny Hugh has learned some lessons. They were very costly mistakes on his part. Coach Pearl has gone through some tough times. We forgave him and he hasn't let us down.

People want to know why I’d pick Freeze over Kiffin. Freeze at least *says* he’s trying to change and grow. Kiffin has been unapologetically Kiffin and will continue to do so. Now, LK has never ever done anything nearly as bad as Freeze. But his behavior has been a problem for every football program he’s ever been a part of. 

I believe Hugh Freeze won’t reoffend. I could be wrong. But he’d have to be the biggest idiot alive to call an escort service again. It’s not like alcoholism where a bottle of beer can present itself at any place or time to tempt a man to relapse. He would have to be so inanely brazen to actively pursue escorts again. I just don’t see it. And if he does, he’s gone for cause so… 🤷‍♂️

Those are rumors.

I can deal with LK being the head coach at Auburn. He is not my first, second or even third choice but I will support him as our HBC if he is chosen.
 

Can honestly say I cannot support Freeze. Not a person I would want coaching my son and I am sure the negative recruiting will ramp up with his past transgressions. 

Matt Rhule is my # 1 , Grimes is # 2, Prime is # 3 and Kiffin is #4.

Nutt’s suit said they said some untrue things about Nutt. Not what was said that he was refuting but that is a big list. Did not mean those things weren’t going on. Wins were taken away 2010 and 2011 by NCAA. Freeze came in 2012 I believe.

Jimbo left for a gigantic contract that Auburn would be stupid to match for anyone short of Vince Lombardi. I'll grant you Riley, because that one is a shocker for me, but he also hadn't established himself as a coach nearly so firmly as Dabo has.

I remain firmly in the Deion camp. Think he would be a game changer.

For the record I don’t think Dabo is going anywhere. Not even Bama. But these coaches are still human beings with personal wants that we don’t know about. 

Maybe he wants to get back close to family in Birmingham. Maybe he and the Clemson brass have started to sour in their relationship and he needs a fresh start. Maybe he sees the changing landscape of CFB and realizes he needs to be at an SEC school ASAP - and Auburn is without a doubt the best one open.

Worst he can say is no.

Houston Nutts wins were taken away for playing ineligible players. LF wins were vacated in 2012,13 and 14 for improper recruiting violations that included paying players and academic violations. He had to resign because he liked ladies of the night.

Yes. I think everybody is very aware of it. The debate just always pits the ethics-matter vs the “just win baby” factions. Always gets nutty. Somebody bring up something creepy he did, somebody snaps back it doesn’t matter and life isn’t Sunday school. And here we go again. People have their own priorities and a forum won’t resolve it. We’ll see where it goes.

I agree. The post I was answering inferred The fact that Nutt filed suit and it was settled, meant Nutt did not have violations, trying to paste all infractions in Freeze watch. Freeze was far from innocent though. The question for everyone is when to give another opportunity. I don’t quite see the contact supporting His new President or AD (not sure which tbh) as much a problem as others. Probably not the greatest choice by him but I don’t see it in the harassment order.
