What was in those tax docs that would make blowing up the sweetheart plea bargain? It must be some really bad stuff...HB also demanded that other charges not included in the deal also be affirmatively dismissed. The judge was having none of it. What was in those tax docs that would make blowing up the sweetheart plea bargain? It must be some really bad stuff...HB also demanded that other charges not included in the deal also be affirmatively dismissed. The judge was having none of it. House Republicans submitted an Amicus brief. That brief was placed on the docket and available to the public. Of course, they stuffed the brief full of irrelevant information. One of those items was HB's tax returns. The firm representing HB had an associate call the court clerk and ask that the brief be taken down due to it containing this information, which is against the rules of the court. Somehow, the clerk thought she had spoken to an associate with the DOJ and later claimed that she was misled. It wouldn't make sense for someone to call from the Defendant's counsel's firm and misrepresent who they were for that purpose. Neither the DOJ or the defendant had filed that brief. It was filed by a third party that is not a party to the case. The judge didn't mention it today and the defense firm had their associate submit an affidavit denying that she ever represented herself to the clerk as working for the DOJ. In either event, the judge did order the brief be temporarily removed due to its content. Members of Congress acting like children throwing food in a cafeteria is a bad look. Hunter Biden is a private citizen. He brought the tax charges on himself and opened the door for all this crap by not paying the taxes he knew were due. Even so, members of Congress trying to dirty up the situation for sport isn't the way to handle anything. Edited July 26, 2023 by AU9377

It was a conspiracy to see how best to have Hunter escape justice".
