Rouse and another kid gone from the Seminoles Florida State coach Bobby Bowden announced Friday the dismissal of former Lincoln High star Fred Rouse and Cornelius Lewis from the football program.Lewis, a redshirt freshman offensive guard, started three games for the Seminoles in 2005. Rouse was a true freshman wide receiver who started the Orange Bowl game against Penn State. He had six catches for 114 yards and one touchdown in 2005. "Both players are dismissed for conduct detrimental to the welfare of the football team," Bowden said. He must have done something more than chew out a coach on the sideline of a nationally televised game. Because we know that will only get you more playing time. Maybe loss of one-half or one scholarship for a year per arrest or something... Nothing too severe, but harmful enough to get the point across. The local news media are Bowden whores and put AMAZING spins on things so it ends up looking like there's no story here to the ESPNs and SIs. When Janakowsi was charged w/ bribing a cop, the local jury let him off and several jurors interviewed after the trial said the soon to be graduating FSUer couldn't speak enough English to understand what bribing a cop was ). What you have to remember is most colleges football teams in this state...including Miami, UCF and UF...CULTIVATE the renegade program image, where most school alumni across the country want to prevent that image.
