Man "who hired the man"...

First of all, all due respect for Mr. Caddell, who apparently led a very productive and successful life.

But talk about Bear obsession: "The man who hired the man who hired coach Bryant"? Isn't that really stretching the "Bear connection" a little too far?

Just a couple of more associations and they should be able to connect Kevin Bacon to him.

After a little thought & Internet browsing:

Bear coached Joe Namath...who acted (poorly) in the movie "C.C. and Company"...which co-starred Ann Margaret who appeared in "Any Given Sunday"...directed by Oliver Stone who also directed "JFK"...which co-starred Kevin Bacon

Sela Ward, cheerleader & homecoming queen at UAT under Bear...who appeared in "The Fugitive" staring Tommy Lee Jones...who co-starred in "JFK" with Kevin Bacon

But here's a connection Bama fans don't claim too much: Roy Adams (Tennstud)...who used to circulate/drink/party in the same Memphis social circles as Logan Young...who was one of Bear's best friend and the man who, according to a federal court, bought Albert Means. (and who has been alledged by some to have claimed he "learned how to cheat without gettting caught" from the master himself) :D

This could be fun! How many other nefarious characters can we tie Coach Bryant to?

Bear Bryant to Tom Berenger in Junction Boys...the man who played the man

Tom Berenger to Charlie Sheen in Major League

Charlie Sheen to Keifer Sutherland in Young Guns

Keifer Sutherland to Kevin Bacon in Flatliners

Did it in under 7 steps.
