They go into effect if approved in March..

They want to shorten the kicking tee to 1" or something.. so there aren't as many touchbacks. I think it is fine how it is.

Personally.. If I am going to pay $60+ for a ticket, and drive 3+ hours (for me anyway) to the game.. I would rather it be a longer game than shorter.

speaking from an officials standpoint, they want the games to move as quickly as possible. They don't get paid by the hour..lol.. I remember when I was officiating football, they changed the rule about when to start the clock on a change of possession. For years it would start on the ready for play....then they changed it and had it start on the snap.. This added about 25 minutes to each game..needless to say we hated this..LOL...We didn't get paid by the hour either..LOL.
