tigerfan1234 0
"Notre Dame is America's team". What exactly does that mean? I come from a long line of Auburn football players, graduates, and fans. I grew up in New Orleans and went to a highschool that was started by the Brothers of Notre Dame, yet I never gave a rats a** about Notre Dame. There are many teams out there with very respectable histories, great traditions, and tough academic standards, yet Notre Dame gets crowned America's team all the time. It makes no sense to me because I grew up a die-hard SEC fan and have never watched an entire Notre Dame game in all my life. Am I missing something? Are there really that many Notre Dame fans out there? Do southerners really care about what Notre Dame does? I ma really growing tired of the monster that the media has created regarding the Notre Dame hype machine. I mean, these guys haven't been worth a flip in years.
