They still have to qualify, stay healthy, out of jail, maintain grades, fit in the actual McPendry system SOMEwhere...

Recruiting is nice, but it's nowhere NEAR 50%. Keep in mind, your "single year" of great recruiting leaves you a long way from filling ALL of your needs.

Congrats on the class, don't get me wrong, but you've got WAYYYYYY too far to go before anything actually shifts, or changes.

they had a great recruiting class. Saban has always been good at that. But we've had those kind of classes in the past and while I'm not very excited about most of our players, I do know that we'll be just fine.

Just b/c Bama (and congrats to the Bama fans btw) had the #1 class and we are going to have a class that falls #17 to #21 doesn't mean that it is the end of the world. O yeah tell Oshiomogho Atogwe, Marcus Trufant, and Ed Reed who were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the NFL in INT's that shorter guys can't compete. Who all happen to be either 5-10 or 5-11. We will be ok.

don't throw reason at him, just let him be in his ea sports world where he wins national championships every year and has the number one recruiting class full of 6'3 corners who run a 4.18 40.

Kerry Murphy may not qualify again from what I hear.

Lawrence needs two points on the ACT.

Neighbors may take the Bryant scholarship and not be on the team until 2009.

That leaves room for another non qualifier, and I do not know who that might be. I am very impressed with the ability of the staff to not only recruit great athletes, but kids who are also getting it done in the classroom so far.
