Travaris Robinson

I haven't heard his name come up during the search for assistant coaches. Loved him as a player at Auburn, and it seems like he'd have been an obvious candidate, with a relationship to Coach Chizik. There's probably a good explanation, and I'm just not aware of it. (I saw where he gave an interview to ITAT a couple weeks ago, but I don't have access.) Can anyone fill me in?

I like T-Rob and think he's a very good coach. I don't think he's a canidate becuase your DC usually coaches either the secondary or linebackers. With Willis already on board and I'm assuming he'll continue to coach LB's, that leaves the new DC to coach the secondary and that obviously would leave T-Rob out.

Now remember, this is my opinion. I could be wrong.

Not with the Chizik model. He may very well have a secondary coach, a D line coach, and a linebacker coach, with the DC as a coordinator and Ast. HC. Just a thought.
