I didn't ignore any facts. NCAA has found us guilty of providing improper benefits to a recruit one time in our 120+ year history.

Just like you guys like to marginalize every single win we've ever gotten by saying we cheat, you've now moved that excuse into the arena of recruiting. It's a handy dandy catch-all that you guys like to employ that fits your position perfectly. You think Bama buys recruits, you require no evidence to come to that conclusion, and you provide your own theories as sufficient material to substantiate the claim. It's circular and weak.

Right. I now I get it. You've turned to waiting until they're actually enrolled before you start paying your players, is that it ? <_<

This, after all that crap that was heaped on by bama fans, about Victory Land, Debit cards , Colonial Bank going under because of all that $ just given away to AU players, ... the list of lies and fairy tales made up by you SOB's , with out 1 iota of proof, you have the nerve to tell US about evidence? Too damn funny.

The 2011 season in Auburn was a disappointing cluster mess. Until you put your big boy pants on and start looking inward and stop blaming Bama, this sort of thing is going to continue to occur. You can say your situation is the same as the one at Alabama (both losing coordinators), but it isn't.

Gee, and the tree killing, the phony tapes, I guess since that took place in 2010, we should just ignore all that too, huh?

Spare me this crap about 'big boy britches', you don't know what the HELL you're talking about. This thing of bama cheating has been going on for decades, and WILL CONTINUE to go on, because that's who you are, that's what you do, and until the ncaa finally hammers you a new one, you'll continue being so full of yourselves, there's no reason to come clean.

Rent Trent Richardson!

So you're saying that all the Bama fans accusing Auburn of cheating without having sufficient evidence to back their claims was wrong...and to combat that, you're going to say Alabama is cheating -- and not require any evidence?

Got it.

Yawn. You guys have been saying this crap since the 60s. And we only got found guilty of recruiting violations one time. If it was as pervasive as you all want to suggest, then we'd get hammered more than that.

It's just a tired argument. We win on the field: we paid the refs. We win in recruiting: we paid the recruits. As if no kid ever wanted to play for Nick Saban or a winning program in the history of football.

Isn't there like a 2000 page thread on some Bama site about cheating that goes on at Auburn?

Edit: 2021 to be exact.

There is FAR more evidence for bama's cheating than of Auburn buying Cam. Yeah, just keep walkin, pal.

You were only FOUND to have bought 1 player. You keep saying that, as if it's some sort of a badge of honor. ONLY CAUGHT ONCE ! Wear that on your hats and shirts, instead of the phony b.s. " got 13 ". Because you know bama doesn't " got 13 ".

What does the textbook thing have to do with recruiting?

Please don't try to play dumb like $abun did when this story first surfaced. If the word got out that this is an accepted practice of supplementing your income at this particular institution, then recruits would more likely jump at the chance to sign. Most of the 201 uat scholarship athletes identified in the text book scandal were football players. Same thing with the t-town menswear scam -- perfect way to make some easy cash and get discounted duds in the process. If you were a high school athlete and these extra benefits were available at uat and not at AU, who would you sign with?

He's a liar? Ok, then that means every kid who's ever flipped his verbal is a bald faced liar. Including any kids Auburn has ever flipped. Because up until the point a kid flips, they ALWAYS say they're sticking with their commitment. I'd say out of all the flips, probably only 5% of them officially "re-open" their recruiting. Most of them just flip. What's worse, most of them flip on signing day.

No, he's a bald faced liar because up until a carefully selected day he kept telling recruiting services and Auburn coaches that he was firm to Auburn. Then he had his HS coach announce the change because he didn't have the guts to do it himself. He didn't change his mind, he followed an orchestrated plan that included lying. Auburn wanted the guy we thought Yeldon was. The guy he is isn't worthy of being an Auburn man. He does, however, fit right in at UAT.

Actually not true. Often you will hear kids start to waver and say things like "as of right now, I'm still solid..." or "I want to see what else is out there but I'm still committed" or some such. Or better yet, they suddenly get quiet...hard to get interviews with, hard to coaches to get in touch with. What you don't normally have is a kid purposely grant interviews, tell everyone they talk to there's no wavering, they are solid and even reaffirm that as the rumors swirl and there's a coaching change. They don't have an in-house visit with the coaching staff and talk to the head coach on the phone and again repeat and reaffirm that no matter what's swirling around or what coach left, they are firm in their commitment, then shock everyone a day before the dead period with a chickens**t written statement issued through the school.

You know this went far beyond the norm. He's a liar. He didn't have to do it this way. He chose to. That's on him.

BamaGrad

Alabama cheats, you know it, and clearly are fine with it, because you've not gotten caught ( lately ) and are in the BCS again.

And yes Titan, as has been pointed out, Emmmitt and Marcus Lattimore are 0 for Auburn in their careers. Look for more of the same w/ Yeldon.

We've gotten in trouble for paying a recruit once in our 120 year history. For all you guys accusing us of cheating our asses off in recruiting, the NCAA should doesn't seem to agree with you.

You guys got all up in arms last year because people accused you of cheating while you said they had no proof. But you have no qualms tossing that cheating moniker around for Alabama without any...

Part of the problem is that while Bear was there, you guys were untouchable. If you think you weren't paying players back then, you're on crack.

Also, there were at least three players paid. Kenny Smith got at least $10,000 in cash plus other benefits totalling $20k in all. Travis Cottrell was giving a car. These both came in the same sanctions that Albert Means did. And that doesn't even count the scholarship the NCAA took away in 1996 for Bama officials lying about a Birmingham area tire and wheel dealer giving illegal loans to players.

What does the textbook thing have to do with recruiting?

Most of the 201 uat scholarship athletes identified in the text book scandal were football players.

There were 5 players. Your math is typical of what I should expect from a barner.

Also, I firmly believe that AU paid for Mike Dyer. Pat Dye's track record shows that you guys did.

Did I do that right?

There were 5 football players and 196 other scholarship athletes involved. Which is typical for you and your butt buddies.

Was Albert Means the only player Logan Young ever paid for and delivered for Bammmmmmer? He was hanging around for years and working his money tricks for Bear Bryant wasn't he? Then Perkins. Then Bill Curry. Then Gene Stallings. Then Mike Dubose.

Who took up the slack when he died?

Not saying there's proof of anything illegal re. Yeldon but Bama saying "prove it" is unbelievable. The usually reserved NCAA provided in writing that Bama avoided the death penalty from cheating in the the '90s (in '93 w/ players on it's '92 MNC team) ONLY because of one person's cooperation, it's AD. She did her best to offset Bama administrators escorting NCAA investigators off campus for which she resigned under pressure. THAT is a unique statement by the NCAA of how severe Bama's cheating has been. An aren't you guys on probation right now?!? When the NCAA actually takes the time to look @ Bama they're found to be as dirty as SMU and UF but the media have had their noses up Bear's butt for so long Bama didn't get hammered until the era of mass media where everybody's trying to scoop everybody else. The only more emphatic statement I can think of from the NCAA (other than it's Tarkanian vendetta) was re. Cam and how the NCAA must meet standards above media inuendo and internet gossip.

You did the bamzo part right, yes. You made a bald faced lie about Pat Dye and expected no one to call you on it. There were NEVER any allegations against Pat Dye regards to paying players. But you just keep on puking you bamzo crap back up and maybe no one here will believe it.

Just becaause you bamzo sh*theads pass off lies to one another until you believe it doesn't mean people here don't know better. \

As for Mike Dyer...back it up be branded an even bigger liar. But being branded a liar doesn't bother you bamzos...it's par for the course.

You half witted moron. Like most short bussed bamzos, you can't even read but go off spewing your babble anyway. I never mentioned tj. I pointed out that YOU're a liar and taht since YOU are a liar everything you say is LIE.

Go back to your bamzo buddies where you can all corcle jerk one another and tell each other what brilliant updykes you are because you repeat lies you made up and can't back. No one here is stupid enough to buy into your garbage.
