"I'd been talking to them for a while and we've been getting a real good relationship going. (AU assistant) Trooper Taylor is pretty much family to me by now." "I'm pretty sure I'm the first in-state offensive lineman to get an offer and that's real huge to me." On the possibility of committing early: "I'm not real sure yet," Hughes said.
