AUSportTalk 4
Auburn will close out its six-game home stand on Wednesday at 6:30pm CT when it plays host to New Orleans on Student Appreciation Night. Coming off of a huge series win over then-No. 3 LSU, newly-ranked No. 23 Auburn is thanking all of its students for their support thus far this season by offering free admission to students that show their Auburn Ignited card at the ticket booth. Already the top hitting team in the SEC with a .347 team batting average, the NCAA stats were released on Tuesday afternoon and it has Auburn listed as the 10th-best hitting team in the country, which goes hand-in-hand with the team’s 417 hits (seventh nationally) and its 298 runs scored (also 10th nationally). Auburn (22-11) is playing New Orleans (10-20) in a make-up game for the previously scheduled game with Appalachian State, which was rained out. So. LHP Cory Luckie (2-2, 9.13 ERA) will start for Auburn on the mound while New Orleans, which plays Southern Miss on Tuesday night in New Orleans, has not announced a starter. Fans holding tickets to the Appalachian State contest may use those for admission to the game on Wednesday night while season ticket holders that have lost their ticket may contact the ticket office at the game to receive admission. GoCrazyCadillac 0
Yeah I hope we can take care of this team, just judging simply by their record it looks like a team we should beat. But hopefully we can avoid some mistakes that plagued us in our last midweek loss a couple weeks ago. Also, I'm interested to see how Cory Luckie pitches tonight as he really needs some good innings to get his confidence back and get into a bit of a groove.
