Implied Disrespect by ACC Tigers

Recommended Posts

Judging from this http://www.thestate.com/2010/06/04/1316252/stadium-plays-to-tigers-strength.html it looks like Clemson may attribute Auburn's nationally-ranked offensive prowess to our "hitter friendly" park... no doubt that it IS a factor but as we know, what's good for the batter is bad for the pitcher and our guys are used to pitching there.

How much lower would our pitchers' ERAs be in a bigger park?

Seing how we won the Clemson series 2-1 in 2005 and knocked them out of the NCAA tourney in 2003, at least Jack Leggett therir coach knows they'd better bring their A game no matter how close the fence is.

Don't look for anyone to care that the pitching is good despite playing at a hitters park.

Being a Rockies fan I constantly hear how the good hitters on the team are only that way because of coors field (Even though the humidity problem has been for the most part fixed). Yet when they want to talk about the pitchers they never want to give them credit for pitching at a hitters park.

They do have a point. Our team was recruited and has been coached with the home field in mind. However, that makes playing at home to our big advantage whether Clemson wants to admit it or not.

The last time I checked, the park was the same size for the visiting teams as it is when Auburn is at bat. If we can hit it out, they should be able to do it too. Does that mean wwe did not hit any home runs when we played on the road? We sure won a lot of three game series.
