Proud Tiger 4,261
After watching last night's RNC and feeling genuinely moved and inspired by the speakers, including the ladies talking about losing loved ones in 9/11, I realized that I have been converted. After growing up as a democrat and becoming disillusioned with them, I have for many years said I was an Independent. I don't have to see anymore of the RNC to realize......I'M NOW A REPUBLICAN. LegalEagle 22
You know, I've really never heard Kerry say that we would change our form of government during his presidency. I also thought that the Republicans are in control of congress, which by the way combined w/ Bush shows why we have fallen backwards for 3.5 years. Do you get off on trying to scare folks out of voting for a candidate by just dismissing the checks and balances of our government? Do you believe that a president alone may change our form of government? Try Civics 101.

PT sadly you might want to bounce what those ladies said against what this decorated Vietnam Vet said. http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/West/08/31/iraq...reut/index.html All of this is tragic. Ranger12 46
What do you mean by 'fallen backwards'? My thoughts also. Seems we are recovering from the recession we were heading towards before Bush took office. Contrary to the crackhead thoughts of John Edwards, this country is safer now then it was before Bush took office. Unless I have been in a coma, I don't recall any more terrorist attacks on the U.S. since 9/11. Jobs are being created and production is up. Last I checked, there were plenty of jobs at the employement office if people would just either swallow their pride our get off their lazy rears and take them. I don't recall hearing anything from John Kerry how he would do it better then Bush. All I have heard is a bunch of plans with a budget plan that can't support all those plans and programs. Listing off a bunch of programs is not telling me how he would do it better.

What is truly sad about you and many others, on both sides, is that if Gore had been elected, and things were exactly as they are now, you would be railing about what an idiot he is and how he failed the country. It is time to put Bush The Uniter in the White House. The same is true from the other perspective. We must all disassociate from political parties, maintain our true independence and vote for the best person each time we get the opportunity. Weagle98 119
Except Gore was in the VP office during the build up to 9/11 and the recession. There would be more tie in to Gore to the recession than Bush.

Unless you are blaming bush for 9/11, the .com bust, the recession, and the y2k scare...i dont think you have a leg to stand on. Ohhhhh nooooo the America is sooo much worse now that we get 300 dollar checks in the mail and the richest among us dont pay 93 percent income tax. No but I believe Teresa and her money can influence a lot of people and plants seeds that may take years to germinate. If YOU read much history you know this is the way change happens. And I ask, are you really naive enough to believe John will be the real Pres. if he is elected? Is so we don't even need to continue this exchange.
