Either they need to quit doing preseason polls and issue the first poll in October, or the voters need to be instructed to ditch the notion that a team keeps its ranking unless they lose. I'm not saying that your rankings have to fluctuate every week, but when a pattern develops, move people around. Based on performance on the field, no way Oklahoma should be ranked higher than us right now. But there they sit because that's where they were in the preseason polls and most of these guys are stuck in the mindset that you can't lose your ranking unless you lose a game. Balderdash.
