DP ends the inning, but Vandy might have done enough in this one. They lead 3-1 going to the 5th.

Grier just hit a ball over the scoreboard that sits atop the left field wall. That is somewhere near Memorial Coliseum. Auburn cuts the lead to 3-2.

Gray called out on strikes. Evidently the chalk of the batters box is now part of the strike zone. Ebert follows with a groundout to short. 2 down.

That run earlier in the game erased because of not stepping on third base is looming large right about now...

Nulph with a nice backhand at SS. Throws across the diamond to retire the first out of the inning.

Wow, Nulph with an even harder play at SS on a hard hit ball. Buentello with a good pick at first base to complete the 6-3. 2 outs now.

Deese reaches for the second time on a throwing error by the Vandy 2B. Runner on 1st, one out.

Deese caught stealing for the second out. Odd choice to attempt there, but I guess AU is in full desperation mode.

And, just as (un)luck would have it, Haecker draws a walk on the next pitch. 2 out for Burgreen.

Single to LF for Grier, who is 3-3 today. That's a bat that'll be almost impossible to replace next season

Gray with a great bunt that stays right on the line until it hits the third base bag. First and second, one out.

Ebert grounds into a FC. Gray out at second. On the corners with two outs and Buentello at the plate.

At the "Yikes" stat of the day: Auburn is 0-24 this season when trailing after 7 innings. Don't know whether thats a knock on our inadequate bullpen or our inability to get late-inning runs, but its bad.
