Was a wild game. Barnett was not good in his outing and was bailed out on a failed safety squeeze with the bases loaded and 1 out that ended up being a double play. Pierce replaced Ware during the game and was effective, scoring the winning run in the 8th. Burkhalter threw 50 pitches to close the game. Almost all of our pitchers who played gave up runs in some form or fashion, including a couple of regular relievers. We sent 16 batters to the plate in the two big scoring innings.

I think Ware needed to be sat down this game. He struck out in his only 2 at bats and saw someone on twitter say he has stuck on in 5 of his last 6 at bats. Not a good game pitching wise but I do know South Alabama has only lost 3 times before last night. So this might not have been a typical midweek game. Glad to get the W but still so many problems with our pitching staff.
