  1. Don’t forget the jersey shorts and the no arms windbreakers.
  2. Barfield went on to a very successful coaching career at Opelika High. Great man and always an Auburn ambassador.
  3. The stuff that came up over the weekend had 2 elements. There was a significant issue that would affect team chemistry and the effectiveness of the coach. As players and coaches left in bunches, a formal complaint was filed and had to be investigated. Through that investigation, it was determined that the issues were personal matters and were not fireable offenses. Bad judgment and warning signs. Yes, but fireable for cause…no. The second issue arose from internet and social media trolls that take pleasure in such things and have no place in this world. It was a black eye for our University and in my opinion those individuals that spread that garbage and profited off of it should be called out. I strongly believe that the people who know the details are too classy to let this get out. But I will sit back and wait to see if Harsin has anything to say to the negative. Serious question: his son is a pretty good qb for AHS. What’ are the chances he sticks around for his senior season?
  4. Tell me you don’t know the full story without telling me you don’t know the full story. Listen friends, they were gonna say what they were gonna say no matter what. We will be the media headline for 1-2 weeks and then they’ll move on to the next thing. Let’s not let the national media gaslight us into thinking we didn’t need to do this. Let’s stick together and get a guy that loves Auburn, will fight for Auburn, and will work for Auburn. Harsin is Tony Barbee. Let’s go find our Bruce. Wde!
  5. Let’s get our new guy in and see if Harsin tries to torch us in the media…then we will let loose.
  6. Finally! Let’s get moving in the right direction! war damn Eagle!!!!
  7. What does Harsin do well? Can anyone tell me?
  8. The people running the University have too much class to detail the reasons behind the investigation over the winter. It’s terrible that he had to go through that, but the sooner we can understand that the college football game as we knew it is changed—and is a business—the sooner we can accept that coaches that don’t succeed have to go…and ultimately they have no one but themselves to blame. in short answer: yes. He’s not a bad dude or a bad coach. This was just over his head.
  9. Nah. I’ve been shocked about how supportive the fanbase is and has been. I think it’s higher. Now if we are judging the apathy of the fans…we are at new lows.
  10. The Bible says: Of these three remain, faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love. In Auburn, we LOVE our team. We have FAITH that we can turn it around…but guys…we got no hope right now. We’ve got to move on to get some hope. That is all. War Eagle always.
  11. Thanks…neither is Arky imo. Very pedestrian team. So maybe hold the phone on all the Pitman (and Grimes) love maybe? how did LSU beat Miss State tho? 🤷‍♂️
  12. The media will take their shot. We’ll be the story for a week and a half…then we will move on.
  13. Ugh. I’m told that it’s happening…but i wouldn’t hold my breath. Interim AD has to do rip the bandaid off.
  14. Anyone left on the keep him and give him more time train? For. The. Love.
  15. Also, I’m really looking forward to LSU and UT. I don’t think LSU is very good. But I really don’t know at this point.
  16. Love the optimism. I think Penn State is a top 15 team. But we weren’t exactly in their ballpark. As for the others, if we are depending on SJSU and Mercer to define our success…we may be in trouble. Here’s hoping tho! WDE!
  17. Great post! Don’t be a stranger. Numbers don’t lie. The Auburn family has backed every coach. We all want the coach to succeed. It’s media hype to pile on this fake narrative that the bot, boosters, or the ptb (passthebiscuits!) don’t support the coach. I think the take home point is that life has changed. College football is a professional sport now in every measurable way. The Auburn “family” must now look at this like the family “business.” We better get somebody in here that’s willing to get after it and win some ballgames. 30 point dogs to the dawgs won’t get it done.
  18. That’s the rate limited step from what I’m seeing. Caddy, Ike, Zac I think will stick around. His other buddies…bye.
  19. Let’s look at the school to our west: they had a legendary coach retire in 1982. their next coach was only given 4 years (gasp) and went 32-15. Dang! That’s a winning record! Not good enough. their next coach was given 3 years (double gasp) he went 26-10. Oh the gnashing of teeth that poor guy wasn’t given enough time to bring in his guys or was treated unfairly! they settled on an old hag of a coach that brought them a natty in 1992 and retired by 1996 when his best years of recruiting seemed to pass him by. (They didn’t quit firing coaches until they got the one they needed.) then they hire a guy for 4 years again and he plays .500 ball. A disaster. next guy…only 2 years! Holy moly! Can you imagine! He went 17-8! The nerve!!! ok ok here me out…then they hire a guy that doesn’t even get to coach a game. They realize what an awful mistake they’ve made. Cut bait…it’s rolling baby. then they hire the son of a coaching legend…has to work out right? Nope. Fear the thumb. 4 years btw (which I argue is about 2 today given NIL, early recruiting and the portal) but fired before their bowl game. Poor joe kines btw. only then did they luck up and find their failure of a coach from the nfl, hated by the team he left. That was their legend. my point: do what you have to do until you find your dude. Don’t worry about the haters. We are no better than anyone else, but ain’t nobody better than us.
