I’m hoping LK stays at OM, because this is me with Sanders now:

I’m not personally pro or con on LK. I think (imo) it’s his experience in the SEC — they know he can coach a stable program and he understands how the SEC operates. I think it’s a safe choice that they think has a potential to be high reward.

My personal choice would have been Mark Stoops at first, but #viper and the gang sold me on Sanders. 😂

Well, my sources have held up. I know who the primary target has been/is, but Sanders would be an interesting candidate. (He’s not the primary target…) I will admit I was skeptical, but after reading the pro-Sanders folks from the board, you guys made a good case. Good job, guys.

You may agree or disagree with Tigerbelle, but she is consistent with her opinions. On the topic of Harsin, she has been proven 100% correct.

Roberts isn’t popular at the moment with a lot of the backers that’s for sure, but he was definitely listening to some. That’s why I was hearing different than the insider info on this board.

For me it was a spring in Paris. It was almost cliché-ish. The flowers were blooming. The new tourists were arriving in groves. The vibrancy was palpable. I was alone — in a nondescript cafe named after Jim Morrison and his death, Café Imbecile. That’s when Auburn waltzed into my life. She was beautiful. No, she was radiant. Her looks immaculate, her hair flawless. I spoke and she responded with a cunning sense of humor. I was taken aback. I asked where she reigned from and she replied — east Alabama. Perplexed, I asked again — thinking she was mistaken. Maybe she was momentarily lost — maybe she was from west Georgia. No, she wasn’t confused. She knew where she was from. She was Auburn. She was Auburn University. I told I was thinking about attending Clemson. She laughed as she seductively took a drag from her imperfect cigarette. “They stole our identity. They stole our colors. They stole our traditions, but they never could steal our soul.” She blew her smoke in my face. In that moment I understood — Toomer’s Corner, Supper Club, Lawyer Tillman, Joe Cribbs, Bo Jackson, Darnell’s and the Strutting Duck. I couldn’t resist. I fell in love. I knew it could be a mistake. I had Clemson. I had UF where most of my known unknowns were going. I had LSU, which still had 18 glistening as a law over there for alcohol. But I left with her. I took her hand and thought — my God. For life. Was it a promise? No, it was a realization. I would stay with her for life. And now here I am. It doesn’t matter the lipstick she wears or the perfume she mists on her wrists. It is her soul I fell for. Not any coach. Not any professor. Not any AD. It is her. And when I find myself, sauntering through a cafe and watching the screens of the newest AP top 20, I don’t wince or ponder the what ifs. I remember that day in Paris and understand — she’s still the most beautiful accomplice that gave me a precious gift — my college degree.

Pressure is ramping up right now. If Auburn still had Bobo and/or Mason, the trigger would have already been pulled.

I’m not disagreeing with you guys about Hartwell/Grimes, but Kiffin was a serious candidate with his name tossed around a week or 2 ago. I’m still not hearing that Grimes has the green light yet, but you guys have solid info so I definitely defer to you all here.

I don’t usually post these things anymore, but I do know a major backer had Roberts’ ear a couple of weeks ago and was telling him to back the truck up for Kiffin. I haven’t heard any more about it and haven’t seen Kiffin’s name come up from sources here so I don’t think (or know if) there is a Kiffin camp or anything coming from the BOT. (And yes, this was before the Nebraska rumors…)

Hearing Belichick is house shopping the Auburn area, but word is he’s just a fan of Acre.

Weather delay is allowing me to continue binge-watching Stranger Things. Season 4/eps 4.

I thought Oregon would be in this game. My “Mark My Words” prediction of the Ducks making the playoffs has been severely wounded.

Mark My Word: UF beats UGA and wins the SEC East. Mark My Word: Only 1 SEC team gets into the playoffs. The teams (in no seeding order) will be Oregon, Bama, Ohio State, and Oklahoma. (I like Bird’s Arkansas prediction.)
