I think both qb's play Saturday unless one of them has an extremely hot hand. Honestly I do not expect that cause neither are very accurate and both are pretty average. We could potentially see this thing go back and forth over the next few games until one of them takes control. If neither take control and we go on a losing streak then all bets are off.

Does Auburn have the best running back tandem in the country? YES

Our defense appears to be all about not giving up the big play by making sure the play stays in front of us. It appears most of the big plays we gave up were due to assignment issues specifically on the tight ends. The guys were uncovered. To me that is very fixable. I hope it is at least.

I hope they learn that 2 plays can be the difference in winning and losing. Fumble to open 2nd half and the 4th and goal fade route.

All I know is that on two of those plays Smoke and McCreary were covering the same guy. Probably not ideal, but we are definitely not making their qb uncomfortable. This combination led to that TD imo. All fixable though.

If we can overcome the early punch to the face that we most likely get and stay close until the 4th I like our chances.

100's of years of data on natural immunity and 9 months on a vaccine but somehow this data is better. Both provide antibodies but neither makes you bulletproof. Still gonna get it potentially but won't be as bad afterwards.

Losing 2 proven shooters will be tough to replace.

I believe Auburn will be fine with a 12 team playoff. Auburn needs to work on Auburn. We cannot really blame the schedule for our last few years performance. I agree we will always have to work harder based on our permanent opponent in the east and it might not be fair but when Saban retires the landscape will change dramatically in my opinion. We just need to make good coaching hires and then do the things necessary to bring our program up to their level. The 12 team playoff is huge and will impact recruiting for the better of college football. Not in year 1 perhaps but year 3 or 4 I would anticipate the impact to be felt. Auburn is its own worst enemy (7 years, 49 million) sometimes.

I see that as a different scenario. You have a known entity in Gus and an unknown entity in our new coach that has not yet been announced and everyone is speculating. I believe once CBH was announced we put Gus in the rearview. Does not mean we cannot bash him though. 6 month rule applies. Wait, it has been 6 months. 9 month rule applies.

I cannot imagine anyone saying we should have kept Gus. That is just not our style as fans really. Auburn people are practical people for the most part, and we might have some banter back and forth as we wait on the season to start but when the season starts we will all be pulling for our tigers and our new coach. That does not mean we won't criticize our new staff, but criticizing our new staff does not equate to wishing the old coach was still here.

We focus only on the speed events it seems. The State of Alabama has 7 of the top 30 high school distance runners in the nation this year and they don't even get a sniff from auburn. They certainly don't get any scholarship money. The program needs a major coaching upgrade IMO.

2 first rounders would be amazing. We will take credit for Davion too (just a little credit).

If this staff develops those top 15 classes I will be pretty happy with that.

Fact is these kids should have the ability to come back to college if not drafted or even if they are not drafted In the 1st round IMO. All the risk is put on an 18 year old kid vs multi-billion dollar franchises. That ain't right.
