If you look at his G League Stats it is consistently around 21 pts and 5 assists per game over 3 years with 3 different teams. Hope he gets a real opportunity.

I remember at the beginning of our final 4 season being appalled at the shot selection of our guards. Worked out pretty well by the end of the year. Saying that, it will be a limiting factor if these guys don't mature and keep making the same mistakes. But, I have already seen growth from those guys and that is a good trend. The guy that I believe has matured mote than anyone is Cambridge. Really impressed with his game lately.

They will need a new football building to hold all that ego.

I don't think totally unexpected flips or totally unexpected commits should be the key indicator of a successful recruiting class.

We can compete with anyone with a Top 15 class. However that top 15 will have to be supplemented with some portal linemen and receivers.

I believe we have enough knowledge on our offensive staff to overcome his "perceived" deficiencies. We could always hire a guy with 20 years experience who is perceived as an ace recruiter. Wait we just fired that guy. If its Dillingham I'll support the heck out of it and hope he can light a fire under our recruiting efforts.

That's a good list. The only name that gives me pause is Dillingham. Not sure he got a fair shake last time in Auburn so really no clue what kind of coordinator he is or could be.

I don't think anyone really knows what NIL is going to do to the game. Fear is driving many opinions on it. I think the players should get their cut. I hope Auburn does not get left behind as this game evolves. The game has been slowly ruined by the NCAA for years now. I see this as an opportunity for improvement.

He attained those recruiting classes using the same methods every other serious SEC program uses. His problem was he beat Nicky too many times so Nicky called his buddy Emmert and it got handled.

Yes, he would be an excellent hire. Our track record with OC's makes us very risky sadly unless you have ties to the current staff or are an up and comer looking for a next step or you have been fired and looking for work.

Not sure why he would leave Baylor. He is in a better position to be a head coach somewhere by staying there than coming to Auburn. He is in a better position to be looking for employment after 1 year at Auburn.

So much changing about the game it is hard to determine what next year holds, never mind 3-4 years out. NIL, realignment of conferences, expanded playoff, etc... We just need to hope that CBH is the guy that can manage that. There are several positions on the field that can yield great results with lower star ranked players. It is my opinion that both lines and QB seem to be the areas where the higher the star rankings the more success you have as a program (that's the trend so please spare the onslaught of players who were lower ranked yet achieved great success). It is pretty clear that we need more OL for this class if we close with 2-3 more well thought of players on OL either through high school or the portal I will feel like this year's class is a success assuming we keep everyone already committed and keep the guys on the current roster we want to keep. Beyond that if we are top 15 each year in recruiting we can compete for championships assuming we are getting the highly rated QB, OL, and DL.

At half-time somebody told CBH that Saban was 6-6 his first year at bama. And there you have it!!

Sadly, the talking heads are just like us fans. Quarterback A has a good week and he is top 5 in the league and in the MVP conversation. Quarterback B has a bad game and he probably needs to be benched. The next week the QB's games reverse and the talking heads change their tune accordingly. Man, I wish I could get paid to share my opinion that changes every time the wind blows.

These receivers will be up and down the rest of the way. Coaching ain't gonna change that IMO. Clearly CBH had a real issue with Corn for some reason. My guess it was not related to whether our WR's were catching the ball.

I would be thrilled with 8-4 all things considered.

Before TAMU I had visions of 9-3 in my head even though I picked 6-6 prior to the season. If somehow my prediction became reality that would be tough to stomach now. Don't think we wind up there but I feel better about 6-6 than I do 9-3. Reality is we probably are somewhere in between but if we lay an egg against state, look out.

We need some major portal help on offensive line or next year will be ugly. I wonder if Bo and Tank will want to return with what we have left on O Line. Hate to be a gloom and doomer but we need a lot.

Is it considered worse than other penalties such as pick plays or holding or personal fouls? How many yards do you lose? Curious as I am not sure I have ever seen it called.
