Interesting word: ‘measures’. Note Biden didn’t have to go through Congress to overturn a law. Because US Presidents prefer temporary band aids instead of a permanent fix. Trump had a super solid congressional majority his first two years and could’ve pushed through a border policy protected by law. Instead he did what every President has done the past 40 years: chose to patchwork it with executive orders. Until both sides decide to create a permanent fix the issue will persist.

Facts are completely on your side on the border and oil production. What is puzzling is the notion that only DJT can fix these things. Reagan proved that a President can be tough and effective without being a predator (is it not embarrassing to have an US President found liable for sexual abuse?) and an a-hole. To see people of good character like Romney and Cheney and Buck tossed into the waste bin for the likes of DJT, MGT, Boebert, and Gaetz is incredibly sad to me.

Because he’s a terrible human being. You can keep gas prices low while also having some character and integrity. Like Reagan proved years ago.

“Sure, millions of people from all over the worlds are surging across our borders unvetted, but why worry” They’re statistically less likely to commit crimes.” That’s not how it works in real life, and certainly not how it works in election years. Biden failed on border control; period. It’s perhaps the biggest reason behind his abysmal approval ratings and a huge reason Trump will likely be re-elected. Don’t confuse how you want things to be with how they actually are.

Both parties have imploded. How did DJT get into the WH in 2016? The Dems (powers that be) ran a very unlikeable Hillary. Then DJT gets in with a clear majority to rule with. Instead he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and stay off Twitter, or he would’ve easily been re-elected. Neither side is earning their way to stay in power. They take turns bungling that opportunity. To your question, what would be right for the American people? Some sane and high character leaders to choose from would help. I weep for our future.

Keeping him off the ballot should never have been the goal. The goal should’ve been to keep him out of the White House again. And Biden botched that opportunity over the past 3 years with a dismal performance. I’m on record as having tremendous disdain for all things DJT, but that’s just the truth.

Not sure how to answer that. The American public has watched nightly clips on the news of immigrants pouring in virtually unopposed and unvetted. They’ve watched illegal migrants attacking our cops and seen stories of them murdering our citizens. Now they’re learning that huge amounts of US taxpayer money is being spent on benefits to non citizens that citizens could benefit from. That’s the story in the eyes of most voters. Biden has sadly opened the White House door wide open for Trump’s re-election.

Completely agree but I don’t think he can. Biden hasn’t had bad border policy, he’s had no policy. Seeing millions of people pour in unvetted, then given benefits a lot of Citizens don’t get is a complete disaster. This is the 1970’s Mariel boat lift on steroids, and our nation will pay for it for many years. Sadly, Biden has gifted Trump the WH.

Let’s not forget though, Trump went into his presidency with the majority in both houses and even had 38 of the 50 governorships. He bragged incessantly about how much everyone loved him and how well he would work with Congress. If he could’ve kept his mouth shut and focused on the job instead of himself, he would’ve kept the majority and been easily re-elected. Now, in fair balance all Biden had to do was be at least average on the economy and at least pretend to care about enforcing border control. He failed at both so here we are again. My premise is neither party is beating the other on merit. They’re taking turns losing power with ineptitude and for petty stuff.

Doesn’t surprise me at all. Only a fraction of the airline violence incidents result in an arrest. And you can assault police officers openly now. The schools comment about zero tolerance is idiotic. If it happens and there are no consequences, you by definition tolerate it. This guy needs to get a lawyer and sue the kid and school system for damages and failure to protect. Our justice system is sad.
