It takes a long long time to heal a high ankle sprain, especially if it is severe. Like over 3 months to recover enough to play

Really? There is absolutely ZERO reason to burn his redshirt.  He wouldn't get much PT in UGA or Bama games. It would best not to waste a year of elgibility to whoop on a D2 school.

yes, i sprained mine playing baseball 2 years ago and i still have ankle problems every now and then. it didnt help any that when i sprained it i continued to play baseball on it.
