Thanks, Great info as always!

Do you not like our chances with Tre Mason?

I think he is the 2nd back signed if AU chooses to go that route.

Is it safe to say noel that you feel crowell is worth 2 backs so we get him and load up in the stellar 2012 class?

I think having Dyer/Crowell/Phillips and McCalebb/Bray would be solid enough.

You really think that Bates goes back to safety? I thought the coaches were grooming him for that hybrid type LB spot?

I would like to see DeMetruce McNeil get on the field more. He has looked really good to my untrained eye in the few times I've seen him in the game outside of special teams.

DT looks possibly concerning if we lose Fairley. OL is scary, too, given the number of new faces there, some of whom weren't as highly celebrated coming out of high school as the seniors that we are losing. Then again, I have NO IDEA how these guys have been coming along at practice.

Any insights on LB? That may be my personal biggest area of concern. Again, not having insights into practice and decision making on the guys we recruit, all I can see is that, going by recruiting services, we have been getting good players at LB, but not super stars (insert disclaimer about stars and such not here).

To an extent LBs are only as good as the D Line can keep the other teams O Line from blocking them...But since you are asking we have a chance to steal Calloway from UAT. He is a 5* LB. But if we get him we will give him a shot at RB because that is what he wants to try and play.

Thanks Noel!

I guess if we end up with Crowell, we can thank Blakely. Crowell > Blakely

What is your thinking on Crowell right now? Better than 50/50 shot?

Also, what's your thinking on Shinn, given we have 2 nice prospects already and a loaded corps?

Shinn is a talent you don't turn away and he really likes Auburn.  and 40/60 on Crowell until he visits which will be HUGE in Jan.

When did we suddenly make up all this room on Marvin Shinn?? I know he would be a HUGE get. tons of talent...I guess with everything else goin on around Auburn I must have missed this movement.

How nice is it to be worried about which great prospect we will get? As oppossed to, I wonder if we can get this guy. There are rarely the outside shots. These coaches deserve A LOT of credit. It's great to be an Auburn Tiger!  :wareagle:

Since  Shinn has said publicly that he and Florence want to play and win championships together...and we know where Florence is going.  ;D

Earlier tonight on the Denson thread, here's what Brooks Webb and ST had to say about him not qualifying:

Go ahead and squash that rumor. Denson is on track to be at Auburn in May. No if's, ands or buts about it. It'll be nice to have someone who's not only played in JHS, but won a state title there hopefully, as many of our signees have a chance to do this weekend.

Rumor has been squashed like a bug!

Questions?

Earlier on JOX recruiting central or whatever its the turd insider guy basically said he felt like bama and Auburn were neck and neck for EF. I know the situation with EF i just thought that was wierd.

Do they not always say these things? My bad, they also say that there is no way any recruit chooses AU over them.

When they lose out on a recruit, they say they never wanted him or they didn't have room.

Basically, Auburn is recruiting with the big boys now. It's a place that AU really hasn't been before. Not only is AU in the big game now but they are also winning these battles. The days to dismiss AU recruiting is over. Last year was a dawn of a new day.

I know what you're saying zx i just thought it was wierd. He has been in turdtown a few times this year though and the statement that he and Shinn want to play together is enough to grab my attention.

OK, thanks....and yeah, I dont really get where Bama is thinking they have such a better chance with Florence. Unless maybe  Shinn is trying to recruit him that way. Who knows, I think recruiting is making me go grey faster.
