Isaiah Crowell Update

I don't kno why so many people are getting their hopes up for him. Just because we have the last visit doesn't mean we're likely to make a miraculous comeback on UGA and Bama to steal his signature. I still expect him to sign with UGA

Well my hopes are up because ST said last week we are in it and appear to be ahead of uga.

I didn't realize ST said that

Read the very first post on this thread.

Im assuming that info is still how he feels since Crowells visit to turdistan?

Won't know until he posts.

my question for everyone: How does UAT keep on getting these 4 and 5 star running backs? Especially this year? Don't they have like 4 already on campus, and are about to sign 2 more? While at Auburn, aka Running Back U, we only have two scholarship running backs. If I wanted to play immediately, that's an easy choice. This is why I hate recruiting, lol...

Yeah, it's kinda frustrating. It's also frustrating that there is immediate playing time in the secondary, and kids that were heavy AU leans may end up somewhere else.

I can only figure (assuming they are not cheating) that recruits are buying the crap that running backs have to be in an old school (boring) offense to get legitimate carries.

Also, how is UAT having any spots left for these top recruits? I've read where they have already over signed, and yet recruits are still going there? Sorry, it just ticks me off. Are these recruits that naive to believe everything what Saban says? If I was recruiting against him, the first thing out of my mouth would be how he has run off kids and makes them take medical redshirts, and he'll do the same to you. It just irks me how these top recruits buy into his crap, that they aren't smart enough to see through his BS. Ok, rant over.....

It is not that they are not smart enough to see through the BS. It's that a number of them have been told all their lives that they are the **** on the football field. That makes them so proud that they think it would never happen to them.

I understand that ellitor, but I still don't understand how they cannot take into the fact that Saban runs off players left and right. And it's not only players, but coaches as well. I have a friend who goes to grad school in UAT, told me how he has heard how unhappy many of the players are there, that UAT is a business thing for them. I don't know about you, but I would want to enjoy my experience while in college, not make it miserable for me. Anyways, I just wish someone would call out how wrong Saban treats these kids, how he only uses them for his success, not for the kids' success. Let's not forget, when Cam and the other players for Auburn were talking about going to the draft, Chizik talked how he wanted them to do what's best for them, but lil' Nicky never says how he wishes them the best, and how it'd be a mistake for juniors leaving for the NFL because of the CBA. Again, Saban only cares about himself, no one else...

I knew that Florida did, but didn't know Bama did.

Next!!,  Next!!,  Who is next in line for Running Back U?  Please step up to the counter and make your selection.  Who wants playing time running behind an AUsome developing Offensive Line?  If you are not sure, please step to the back of the line, because we need athletes ready to take the ball and run for the goal line.  Next!!

Big time recruits are now going to start helping their less talented friends get offers every year. Schools are going to end up wasting 5 or so scholarships on players that they really don't want. Not to mention the recruits getting their family and friends better coaching jobs. Can't wait to see what is next.

i like the pics they have on that site. are we allowed to post that borderline porn?

Ummm, no...but I did like this little piece of the thuga meltdown:

"This was one of the most talented classes ever in the south and especially georgia, we have not done very well, quite frankly our class sucks, would not be surprised if a couple of georgia recruits jump off the ss gfy cmr by the end of the weekend."

The most glaring thing I notice about Crowell is that UGA does not have one RB committed and they are not on any other of the top 25 RBs list.  Crowell seems to be their only RB target in this signing class.

They already have 4 on the roster.  All of which have underperformed their rankings.  This happening to one guy is undertandable but 4 guys is not.  It is something systemic within uga right now and it won't change as long as richt is there.

Washaun Ealey | 5-11, 211, So., #8 overall rb according to espn

Caleb King | 5-11, 211, Jr.,         #7 overall rb according to espn

Carlton Thomas | 5-7, 179, So.    #8 overall rb according to espn

Ken Malcome | 6-0, 218, Fr., HS  #9 overall rb according to espn

We have two guys signed who could play rb but probably end up at other positions. Two on the roster with one being an evey down back. So unless richt has gone spurrier and is willing to hand him the team before he gets on campus then we have the roster advantage. Also I will add that although lattimore is usce's running game he has jeffery to draw some attention. Crowell won't have that he will be the focus of the defense and behind a uga line that has underperformed for about three years now with a new ol coach to boot.

But they do have a little more depth than we do.   I hope that helps us land him.

So Crowell and Hart would rather play for uat instead of playing for a team that just won the BCS National Championship.

Don't count on Crowell to the turds just yet.
