ellitor 33,108 Posted January 6, 2013 Share Posted January 6, 2013 Ellitor..just a quick question and maybe in wrong venue but..we now have around 16 commits +/-..assuming we can maintain most of them, would we still not going to be looking for additional recruits to fill voids in certain positions of extreme need, even if a recruit may be a 3-star instead of the coveted 4 or 4-star? We are at 14 and the staff will only sign players they feel are quality regardless of rating. Henry is a 4 * but as PLM said TE is not a need. Funny that previous staff was continuing to recruit OJHoward after having a committment from AJ. Would we accept a committment from No. 1 TE (a 5-Star) if he was available? GenesChin 9 Posted January 7, 2013 Share Posted January 7, 2013 Orange Juice is a 6'6 kid who runs a 4.5 or so and extremely athletic. That kid can play WR and will only play TE at Bama because they will utilize him here. If he came to AU, he would run WR or Gus would change his playbook/TE utilization because he is a gamechanger. Does no one remember that Lutzie lined up at WR at a decent frequency in 2011? Also remember that from a reception standpoint, Lutzenkirchen was not utilized very often in 2011 considering he played in all 13 games. We don't need TEs.
