The NCAA exists to enforce rules of fair play and a level playing field. They exist to prevent college sports from being a game of "the rich get richer". NCAA rules are why Harvard does not dominate college sports. See, it's simple. Not even Harvard can buy a baseball team, they, too, have to stick to the 11.7 scholarship limit.
