Baseball vs. Texas A&M - game 1

Auburn hosting Texas A&M for three game series this weekend. It should be noted in case some of you missed it that they will be playing a double header tomorrow. Both games will be 9 innings. They are doing this because of bad weather expected in Auburn on sunday. First pitch scheduled for NOON tomorrow.

Tonights game. Auburn plates two runs in the bottom of the 1st and adds another run in their half of the 2nd. Auburn coming to bat in the bottom of the 4th now and Auburn leads 3-0. Texas A&M has ONE hit and Auburn has the 3 runs on 5 hits.

Tomscha leads off the Auburn half of the 7th with a rope down the left field line for a double. His second double of the game. Tella up to bunt and the ball hits him. Runners at 1st and 2nd no outs. Blake Austin up to bat. Need to get these runs in here.

Austin drops the bunt down but a little too hard, pitcher throws to 3rd to get the lead runner. 1 out now runners at 1st and 2nd still. Daniel robert at bat, grounds to 2nd for the double play to end the inning. 3-0 going to the 8th.

Texas A&M gets some baserunners off of 1 hit and an Auburn error. Auburn gets a strikeout to end the inning and leave the runners stranded on 1st and 2nd. 3-0 Auburn going to the bottom of the 8th.

Keegan Thompson grounds passed the 3rd baseman into deep short and there's no throw. Thompson on to lead off the 1st.

Side note: Auburn softball won tonight 9-0 and Marcy Harper threw a 5 inning no hitter in the win....
