2013: Cowan saw action in the season’s final six games and made four receptions for 26 yards ... he made one reception for nine yards at No. 18 Florida, one reception for eight yards vs. No. 8 Auburn, a two-yard reception vs. Mississippi State and a seven-yard catch at No. 15 LSU ... he also played at No 1. Alabama and at Ole Miss.

2012: Cowan appeared in six games as a true freshman ... he made three catches for 14 yards and also returned 10 kickoffs for 176 yards ... he made his collegiate debut in the 49-7 win vs. Kentucky and caught one pass for nine yards ... he made two receptions for five yards in the 19-15 victory vs. Tulsa ... at Mississippi State, he returned seven kickoffs, tied for the second-highest single-game total in school history, for 108 yards ... he returned three kickoffs for 68 yards vs. No. 8 LSU.

Just reading between the lines, it sounds as if he's not making the grades. Since there was no mention of the suspension lingering into the regular season, I presume he has enrolled in summer courses to get back track. Bielema's going to need all hands on deck come 08/30.
