I think Muschamp ends up as an NFL DC for a while. The NFL is a good place to cool the ego for a few years before coming back into FBS as a DC.

Muschamp at AU? I can't see CGM ever hiring Muschamp. We have several older coaches on defense, so retirements will be a factor in a couple of years. I assume there are some up and coming defensive coaches we might consider. I think Malzahn is sold on a 4-2-5 base defense for now, given how prevalent spread offenses are in the SEC West. 4-2-5 schemes are gaining favor in college football right now, especially with former 4-3 coaches and teams. Georgia Tech went 4-2-5 base defense this year as did Kentucky. The 4-2-5 is gaining status in the NFL as an alternate defense.
