--HAPPY FOR BIG CAT: Jacobs got a vote of confidence after practice Wednesday.

Linebacker Travis Williams worked in the Tigers Unlimited office last summer, writing letters to donors to thank them for contributions.

"That's my buddy," Williams said after being told that Jacobs had officially been hired. "I call him 'Big Cat.' I'm happy for him. He's an Auburn guy. He's a people person. He's a former player and he knows the ins and outs of sports. He knows what happens on the field. I know he'll do a great job."

I beleive he is an Auburn MAN and will make us proud.
