Baseball vs.Georgia - game 1

Based on how the game started I never thought either pitcher would have made it this far....but from the 5th inning on, the pitchers have been dominant and and pretty much matched each other in effectiveness.

Taylor Hicks takes over for Ga on the mound.

and another bouncer out to short and there are 2 outs....Hicks has a little more juice on the ball....fast ball in the low 90s....and Murphy hits a fly to left center which the CF takes and the inning is over....and AU up and down again with no threat to add to the lead.

And Lipscomb is out....very nice outing for him....don't recall that he gave up anything hit very hard....a double back early but after that it was mostly fly balls to the outfield and an occasional bouncer to the infield.

Trey Wengeter (I never get the spelling) is in now. and get's first batter on a bouncer to 2nd....FB hitting low 90s....a bit faster than CL's stuff but not overpowering. and a quick grounder to SS and that's out 2.

Well that was 93 according to the radar....that;s good enough...

Hardly recognized Trey....obviously been to the barbershop....which did a nice job for him.

Sneaky UGa batter drops a bunt and beats it out for a hit.

Great catch by the dawg 2nd base....that should not be allowed in college ball...stole a hit on that play.

Burgreen came in earlier to play left and is at bat.....13 AU batters in a row have gone down...time for something good to happen.

Well, first hit for UGa in quite a while....well, except for that sneaky bunt single....but UGa has a runner at first and no outs.

First out was a bit of an adventure with guys looking at a very high pop fly behind short...but Burgreen makes the catch.
